The Internet has made a huge difference in people's lives. Technology is constantly evolving. Researchers have set a new record for data transfer. They claim to be able to record terabytes of speed per second. Researchers in the United Kingdom say they have tested twice the speed of the current Internet.

The researchers say the technology, which has a speed of 16 terabytes, can now be easily used in optical fiber pipes.

With the new speed recorded on the internet, 1,500 quality movies can be downloaded in one second with a size of 15 GB.

The research article was published in the journal Itriple Photonics Technology Letters.

The Internet is currently operated through optical fiber, which protects the amplifier's light signal from falling.

Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of the Coronavirus epidemic. There is a greater need for high speed internet and bandwidth than before. 40 percent of the world's people are still out of the Internet.

Lydia Galdino, an electronics and electrical engineer at University College London in the United Kingdom, said up to 35 terabytes per second of data is transmitted through a connection between existing cloud-based data centers. We are working on new technologies that can use existing infrastructure in a more efficient way. We set a record of 16 terabytes of data transfer per second using optical fiber bandwidth appropriately.
