Afghanistan is a militant haven. The people of the country are awakened by the sound of bullets and bombs. Bismillah Jan Shinwari, the international umpire of Afghanistan, was killed along with six members of his family in a car bomb blast in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan this time. A total of 15 people were killed and 30 injured in the attack. Nangarhar governor's sources claimed that the attackers were killed.

Afghan journalist said. Ibrahim Momand wrote in a tweet, 'Horrible news! Bismillah Jan Shinwari, an elite umpire of the Afghan Cricket Board, was killed along with six members of his family in a roadside bomb blast in Nangarhar. He has managed many international matches. The world's number one T20 bowler Rashid Khan has come up from his district.

Besides, Pakistani media has confirmed the matter to GeoTV. Shinwari has played six ODIs and six international Twenty20 matches. The 36-year-old Afghan umpire also officiated in the country's domestic Gazi Amanullah Khan regional ODIs in 2016 and Shah Abdali in the four-day tournament in the 2016-17 season.
