You just have to try this recipe!
Following my post about veganism I wanted to share with you what is, without doubt, the tastiest recipe I have ever made and one which also happens to be vegan. I am the biggest chocolate lover in the world and when I became vegan I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to satisfy that craving. However, this recipe definitely does the trick and, to sweeten the deal, this recipe is much healthier for you than more traditional chocolate desserts meaning that you can eat more of it without the guilt. What could be more perfect? So, without further ado, here is my tasty vegan recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup walnuts (115 g)
1 cup Medjool dates (200 g)
2 tbsp raw cacao
Method
1. First of all, place the walnuts in a blender and blend them up until they have a crumbly texture.
2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend again.
3. Roll the mixture into small balls with your hands.
4. Eat up!
There you have it! With only three ingredients this recipe is super quick and easy. There’s no need to wait around for it to bake in the oven as with many desserts. You can eat these chocolate treats straight after blending or pop them in the fridge and save them for later if you’re not quite ready to experience their awesomeness. The dates are full of carbohydrates vital to supplying the body with energy and the nuts provide the body with a good dose of healthy fat. While cacao is not good for the body - it acts like a stimulant like coffee or an energy drink - it is okay in small amounts and is used in very small quantities in this recipe compared to the vast majority of chocolate treats available in shops. Taking all of that into consideration, this has got to be the ultimate sweet treat!
