Romeo and Juliet

Begins with a brawl in the streets of Verona, courtesy of the servants of feuding noble families Capulet ( Juliet's family) and Montague ( Romeo's family). Benvolio Montaque tries to break up the fighting, but finds himself enmeshed in it when Tybalt Capulet arrives. It's ruler, Prince Escalus, decress death to anyone who distubrs the peace in Verona in the future.

Enter the Montague heir, Romeo,who was seen by his cousin Benvolio moping. After the letters prodding, it turns out that Romeo is in love with Rosaline who doesn't return his affection. Benvolio urges Romeo to find a more beautiful woman, but Romeo remains sulking.

Meanwhile,Prince Escalu's kinsman,Paris,wishes to marry Juliet. Capulet is happy with the match,but asks Paris to wait for two years. Capulet sends a servant off with a guest list to invite to masquerade.

Romeo and Benvolio then encounter the Capulet servant, and Benvolio suggest that they attend the feast so Romeo can compare Rosaline with other beautiful Veronesi. Romeo agrees, only because he sees Rosaline's name on the list.

Then, Juliet talks to her mother,lady Capulet, and get nurse,about the prospect of marrying Paris. Juliet agrees to look for Paris during the feast and determine if she could fall in love with him in the future.

The merrymaking begins. A melancholic Romeo follows his cousin and their friend, Mercutio,to the Capulet's house. Romeo sees Juliet form a distance and immediately falls in love at firts sight. Eradicating all thoughts of Rosaline. As Romeo watches Juliet from afar, Tybalt Capulet recognizes Romeo and prepares to attack. He is held at bay by the Capulet patriarch.

Romeo finds a moment to speak to Juliet and the two of them experience instantaneous attraction. They kiss, not even knowing that their families are enemies.

As Mercutio and Benvolio flee the Capulet estate, Romeo hides in the garden. He sees Juliet in a window and hears her speak his name. Romeo calls out, and the two of them profess their love exchange vows of love.

Romeo then hurries to see his confessor and Ally, Friar Lawrence,who agrees to marry the two as it could possibly end the feuding between the two families. The next day, the young lovers meet at Friar Lawrence's cell and marry in secret.

Then Benvolio and Mercutio come across Tybalt, who has challenged Romeo to a duel, Since Romeo now considers Tybalt as a kinsman by marriage, Romeo tries to hold off the duel. Disgusted, Mercutio declares he will duel Tybalt. Romeo tries to stop them steps in between the two, but Tybalt stabs Mercutio, who dies. Incensed, Romeo kills Tybalt. He then flees the scene.

The Prince hears of it and banishes Romeo from Verona. Friar Lawrence arranges for Romeo to spend his wedding night before he has to leave for Mantua.

Meanwhile, the Nurse enters Julie's room,who tells her that Romeo killed Tybalt. Juliet becomes distraught, but soon resettles herself as she focuses on one though. Her duty now belongs to her husband, Romeo,who then sneaks into Juliet room and they consummate their marriage the next day, they bid each other goodbye.

Juliet then learns that her father intends her to marry Paris in three days. She asks her nurse for advice, and is told to pretend that Romeo is dead so she can marry Paris. Juliet visits Friar Lawrence to get his advice,who concocts a plan that Juliet must drink a potion that will make her appear to have died. After she is laid to rest in the family crypt, Romeo and friar Lawrence will sneak in and she will come with them.

When Juliet returns home however,she finds out that her father has moved the marriage and she is to be married on the morrow. Juliet drinks the potion and she is presumed dead. The Capulet's grieve and Juliet is laid to rest in the family crypt unfortunately, Friar Lawrence's missive never reached Romeo, and he only hears that Juliet is dead.

He decides that a life without Juliet is not worth living and buys a vial of poison. He return Verona where he immediately goes to Juliet's cry. He sees Paris, who is scattering flowers on Juliet grave. The two scuffle and Romeo kills Paris.

Romeo then sees Juliet's lifeless body abd drinks the poison, drying by her side. When he died Juliet awakes abd sees Friar Lawrence inside the crypt. He urges and Juliet to leave with him but she refuses, so he flees alone. Juliet sees Romeo's body and kisses his poisoned lips, then stabs herself with his dagger,as she falls upon his body.

Then, the Prince, Capulets,and Montague arrive. Montague says that lady Montague died of grief over her son's exile. Upon seeing Juliet's and Romeo 's bodies , the two patriarchs agree to end thier feud and to raise gold statue of Romeo and Juliet in the now peaceful Verona.
