• In New Zealand,there are over 34 million sheep,which equates to seven sheep for every human! Impressed? That's nothing.In 1982, there were 22 sheep for every human!

• In 2011, there were over one billion sheep in the world!

• The four main products that we get from sheep are lamb,mutton,wool and milk.

• Sheep products can be also be found in tennis racket strings, candles and even soap,as well as cosmetics and skincare products!

• A female sheep is a "ewe" ( pronounced "you") and a male sheep is a "ram." A "lamb" is a sheep under the age of 14 months.

• Sheep are able to recognize the faces of as many as 50 other sheep for up to two years and can even recognize human faces!

• Sheep and goats are actually two different species,even though most people think they are the same animals with different fur because they look so similar.

• Sheep have such good eyes that they can see almost 360 degrees- that means they can see behind themselves without even having to turn their heads!

• Coyotes,wild dogs,foxes,bears big cats and even eagles are known predators of sheep.

• In 2009, an eighth month old sheep from Scotland sold for more than US$380,000 that's over PHP17,000,000!

• In 1996, Dolly the sheep was the firts mammal ever to be cloned for an adult cell! Sadly she died in 2003.
