Las Puntas es una pequeña pero encantadora localidad situada en la costa de El Golfo, en el municipio de La Frontera, en la zona Norte de la isla de El Hierro de las Islas Canarias. A muy pocos kilómetros de la Reserva Integral de los Roques de Salmor encontramos la población de Las Puntas, la cual aguarda uno de los rincones más atractivos y acogedores de la costa de El Golfo. A pesar de que apenas supera los 250 habitantes, Las Puntas jugó un papel muy importante para la economía y el desarrollo de El Golfo gracias a la construcción de un pequeño embarcadero situado en un saliente rocoso desde donde partía la producción agrícola de toda la comarca hacia diversos puertos del norte de Europa. Hoy en día ese embarcadero da cobijo al Hotel de Punta Grande, el cual según recoge el Libro Guinness de los Récords, es el hotel más pequeño del mundo. Si nos paramos a observar desde el mismo embarcadero podremos disfrutar de unas extraordinarias vistas a pie de mar de los Roques de Salomor y de la Reserva Natural Especial de Tibajate. En el acogedor muelle de Punta Grande es posible darse un agradable baño, lo cual es recomendable especialmente en la época estival. Tienes una fiesta y no quieres ir con las manos vacías?, ven, te muestro cómo hago un delicioso Dip: Ingredientes: - El jugo de un limón - 1 Huevo - Perejil al gusto - Un trocito de pimentón verde (o rojo) - 1 Ají dulce (o picante) - 2 ó 3 dientes de ajo (depende el tamaño) - 1 Taza de aceite - Sal al gusto Preparación: Coloca en la licuadora todos los ingredientes, menos el aceite. Licúa y una vez que todo esté integrado, colocar poco a poco y en forma de hilo el aceite, hasta que obtenga una consistencia cremosa. Puedes añadir adicionalmente atún y servir con pan de fiesta.
