The flower known as "Ponciana enana, Chivatillo, Clavellina", is a small shrub that grows no more than 3 meters, belongs to the genus Caesalpinia (generic name given in honor of Andrea Cesalpino). It is a plant that abounds in America (tropical zone) and has been used by the shamans of the Amazon: the juice of its leaves cures fever, the juice of the flower is used for pains, and the seeds for coughs, respiratory difficulties, and chest pain.
