Rollen is having a different life now. His days speak of more productive stuffs. His level of intellectuality has lett everyone speechless. His teachers often make him the standing example in the class and insist other wards to gain motivational from Rollen.
It was a sunny morning A bright Sunday. Mrs Adams finished her daily chore and decided to take Rollen out for some shopping. Rollen wanted to go to the gaming zone since a long time now. But some or the other work kept them busy all this while. Moreover, Rollen still missed Plume a lot. It has been over a month now. Plume lett him tor his own planet.
Today, she decided to finalise the plan and went to Rollen's room to get him ready.
She saw, Rollen was fiddling with the remote which the alien duo gave him that night.
Hey Rollen, do you want to go to the PlayStation today? I am done with my work and planning to leave in another couple of minutes.
Mom, I have a different plan for the day. For a blink, Mrs Adams felt as if her 4 year old little Rollen has grown up to be a 10 year old lad. She went on to ask him, what can be more luring than the gaming Zone?
Rollen gazed at her and thought for a while. Then he said, Mumma I have some homeworks to complete. You can leave. I can stay alone.
Are you sure dear? Mrs Adanms enquired. Yes mumma. I am sure. I can accompany you some other day. Mrs Adams felt perplexed at the unusual behavior of her child. He has a proclivity for games. Then what made him renounce the golden chance ot going out with mom.Her thoughts whirled around in her brain.
She decided to leave. She went up to Rollen and kissed his forehead. Mumma please drive safety, Rollen muttered. Mrs Adams was 26 and her 4 year old son was advising her to drive safely. She really felt het little Rollen has grown up years older in less than a month.
She lett the room in utter silence and went out towards the parking She turned back to see, Rollen was peering out ot the window eager to see her leave. She got into her car and drove off.
Rollen jumped down from the window pane and without wasting a moment, pulled out his drawer to take the remote.VNow the remote was in his tiny hands, awaiting a little press. He thought for a while. Which one shall I press? Red one will call Plume and green one will fetch him an empty spaceship. After few minutes of brain storming, Rollen decided to go with Red, not because he loved red but because he wanted to discuss with Plume before he actually took off from Earth.
He pressed the red button. There was a vibration in the remote. His hands started shivering. In a couple of blinks, he heard a hustling noise from behind him. He jumped up and peeped through the window overlooking the rear garden. He saw a little spaceship hovering over the grassy floor. In another couple of seconds, Plume was right in front.
Rollen's eyes flooded in tears and he took Plume close to his heart and pressed him close. I missed you so much Plumc. Did you miss me too? Asked Rollen. Yes Rollen, my mate, I have missed you too, replied Plume.
Don't lie Plume, howled Rollen. Had you missed me, you would have come to me at least once.
Plume looked at him and spoke in a mild voice. My dear mate, I wanted to come too you but I couldn't. There is a war going on in our planet. The inhabitants o Libbosine and the ones living in Crecotus are at war with each other.
What is Crecotus??? Rollen asked in a perplexed tone. Crecotus is our neighboring planet. The ones dwelling there are known as Creckos. The Creckos are wicked and shrewd. They always want to fiddle with our planet and aim to conquer it. Our Libbo soldiers are very brave. They arc fighting the battle with full devotion.
So, the people of Libbosine are known as Libbos. So you arc a Libbo. Yes dear, just like you are a human. Wow!! So I wanted to go to Libbosine now. Isn't it possible? Rollen questioned.
Plume looked sad. He never wanted to say no to Rollen. So it is not possible right?
Rollen repeated.
Plume looked up at Rollen's face that depicted the glorious shine that's gradually fading away.
Please don't be sad mate. Let me sketch some plans. Plume thought for a while and spoke with a lot of enthusiasm. There is one way. I will put you inside a metallic pot with little pores. You can breathe from inside. I will take you in this concealed form into Libbosine. After reaching inside, we can plan our next move.
Plume went ahead and brought out a gleaming pot made of some metals and ceramics. He said, they make such crockeries from asteroids which fly around their planet. The pot was too midget for Rollen to fit inside. He gazed at Plume with an asterisk expression peeping out of his gleaming eyes. Plume understood his concern and smiled.
Don't you worry mate. Hold my arms. As Rollen touched his arms, he felt a wave ot electricity passing through his body. In another blink, he saw something strange.
The pot appeared bigger and wider. Then he saw Plume. Omg!!! Even he grew bigger. After a phase of baffling scenes, he understood that they are not big, he has grown smaller and thinner. Now he can easily enter the pot. Plume held him and placed him inside the porous pot He peered through a pore to see that Plume carried the pot into the spaceship.
Suddenly, he placed the pot and went out. He came back after a couple of minutes.
Where have you gone? Asked Rollen. Mate, it suppose we get late and won't be able to return before aunty returns home Yes!!! I didn't think over this, said Rollen. I know mate. But don't worry. I have done something I have made a 3D material projection of you and gave it a artificial brain that is similar to your brain. In simple words, I have made a duplicate Rollen who exactly resembles you, both in look and actions. Aunty will never get to know you are out of earth. Rollen felt very proud for Plume. He said from within, Plume, you arc amazing Without me feeling the concern, you not only felt it, but also worked out to solve the problem.
