Money makes the world go round, right? That is mostly true when everything you want and need had to do with money whether in cash or in kind. Schooling is money - school fees, hostel fee, feeding and so on. You want a house, that is money. A car, also money. Even in a relationship. Nowadays people, not just girls, even the guys wants a partner that can spend on them. That cute boy just asked me out but he doesn't have money so I'll just leave his request pending.
So what now happens to the 'broke ones'?
Money is enjoyable when you have it. Ohhh it is such a good feeling to get what you want whenever you want it.
In fact, acquiring wealth is supported by the Bible: Proverbs 13:22a - 'A good man will have wealth to leave for his grandchildren.'
God intends for us to be wealthy. Genesis 1:28 - 'be fruitful, multiply, replenish the Earth, subdue it, have dominion.'
In essence it means take over. But have we really taken over?
It has now become that some Christians envy non believers because of the kind of like most of them are living, we now dream of living that life.
You see your friends doing some kind of odd job and making really fast money out of it and you judge and condemn, not because you care about that person but because you envy them. They are free to live the life you want but because you are trapped in your web of self righteousness.
Most people don't really care how you get the money as long as you have it to spend and they can get something off of you. They praise results more than efforts (this reminds me of a saying: "everybody will congratulate the pregnant woman, touching her tummy and praising her, but nobody would go to the man to say well done sir)
Grace had seemingly made us lazy. We sit, wait and pray for Abraham's blessing, not wanting to understand or get involved in the conditions prior to receiving those blessings. Everyone claims 'Abraham's blessings are mine' but do not want to go through the process of receiving the blessings.
If one day, in your sleep, God should tell you, "my child, take a bus tomorrow up further north and out of this city, take absolutely nothing with you more than a few changes of clothes. I'll tell you where do drop." Honestly, how many of would go? How many would take the risks?
If God should want your Isaac, that one thing that you so believe is your sole purpose of living, that gives you joy, would you still believe in his promises?

Kinda falling in love with your writings since it's relatable af but yeah, I'm non-religious because of some facts that some religious people stick to their decency and just keep asking for grace instead of making grace happen on their own. It's kind of ridiculous, really
