Who else is proud of their natural hair??

Hair is fashion, slow hair growth can be a pain as growing that luxurious hair is arguably not easy, especially when your hair seems to only grow about a inch after long months.

What to do??

Few tips on growing a healthy looking hair to be proud of irrespective of your hair texture, colour and/or length.

Lemon Juice

Lemon is rich in vitamin C and fiber and other plant compounds, these nutrients are responsible for several health benefits including hair growth.

Combining lemon juice with olive or coconut oil to apply thoroughly on your hair will greatly improve hair growth. Shampoo your hair after 30 minutes. Repeat this procedure once or twice a week.

Eggs

Eggs richly contain vitamin D, B12, B6 and other minerals like copper and zinc and more than half of these are found in the egg white.

Whip two eggs and add two tablespoons of olive oil. Apply this mix on your hair. Wash after 15 to 20 minutes with cold water then shampoo.

Don't use warm water to wash it off as warm water could "cook" the eggs on your hair making it a sticky mess.

Coconut Milk

Coconuts contain protein and small amounts of vitamin B. Manganese which is good for healthy bones. Iron and copper too.

Blend some coconut, extract the milk. Apply the milk on your hair. Wash after 30 minutes. Do this three or four times a month. That's once a week.

Fish Oil

Fish oils contain omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A and D, these protect the heart but eating fish is a better way of getting fish oil or omega 3 than taking supplements

Take supplements that contain fish oil on a daily basis for at least a month to encourage healthy hair growth.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is the best oil to enrich your scalp. It contains ricinoleic acid and omega-6 fatty acids and therefore when massaged onto the scalp it helps in increasing the blood circulation which controls hair loss.

Besides controlling hair loss, Castor oil fights off dandruff and scalp infections.

Massage your scalp with a mixture of coconut oil and Castor oil. Apply it on your hair.

Beetroot, Carrot and Cucumber

Beetroot is rich in nutrients, it boosts the circulation of blood throughout the scalp, which stimulates hair follicles and promotes hair growth. The anti-pruritic properties of beetroot help the scalp get rid of dead cells, dandruff, and itchiness while conditioning it thoroughly.

Carrots are rich in vitamin A, they make hair stronger, longer and thicker, help in improving blood circulation, which will give your hair a healthy look and prevent the growth of grey hair.

Cucumber promotes hair growth. Its juice is extremely good for hair, containing silicon and sulphur which collectively stop hair fall, and promote healthy hair.

Blend these ingredients together and drink the juice. It will have a positive impact on your hair growth.

Onion Juice

When added to the hair and scalp, onion juice can provide extra sulfur to support strong and thick hair, thus preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. Applying onion juice to the hair and scalp could increase blood supply to hair follicles, which in turn improves hair growth.

Take some onions, chop them into small pieces, boil for about 15 minutes then extract the juice and apply on your hair. Wash after 30 minutes.

Apple cider vinegar and water

Mix a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water. After shampooing and conditioning, pour the mixture over your hair evenly, working into your scalp. Let it sit for a couple of minutes. Rinse it out.

Combine the ingredients and apply on your hair. Rinse off after 30 minutes.

Potatoes

Potato juice also helps in making the growth of hair follicles better. It prevents hair thinning and the starch present in the vegetable ensures nourishment of follicles. The compounds present in potatoes bind with oxygen to strengthen the hair strands, thus preventing hair fall.

Cut potatoes into small pieces, blend and extract the juice. Apply to your hair, rinse after 30 minutes.

Banana

Bananas contain silica, a mineral element that helps your body to synthesize collagen and may make your hair stronger and thicker. They also have antimicrobial properties that can heal flaky and dry scalp, relieving dandruff symptoms.

Mash a banana and apply it as a conditioner on your hair. You can also add milk and honey and use it as hair mask

Use products with lots of aloe vera, shea butter, coconut oil, Castor oil and almond oil or even olive oil to boost hair growth
