The story is true

Janina Kolkiewicz - 91 years old woman. For a while, his heart stopped beating. There are no more symptoms of shortness of breath. The doctors eventually pronounced him dead. 91 years of long life came to an end today. But even then, who knew that he had several more years to go. After 11 hours, the old woman sat up in the morgue of the hospital. The hungry stomach was churning. Desiring to have tea and pancakes, the old woman, who had come back from the brink of death, began to look for people here and there.

Salta 2001. A 7-year-old man underwent cardiac arrest during the operation. After 16 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and medication and other attempts, the doctors finally gave up and became 100% sure that the patient had died. But 10 minutes later, a doctor suddenly felt the pulse of the dead man. After a while, the dead man came back to life. Not only that, after that the rest of his operation was also completed successfully.

In 2014, an 8-year-old man died in a hospice in Mississippi. He was rescued alive from the hospital morgue a day later.

Lazarus Syndrome: The story of coming back to life from the mouth of "death"

Although there is no direct experience, a number of such supernatural phenomena can be found. Undoubtedly, each of the above events can be used as a plot of any ghost movie. But every fact is as scientific as it is real, which in medical terms is called Lazarus syndrome.

According to the question, the answer could have ended here. But since I passed high school from the West Bengal Board (don't compare it to the present time. I took the high school exam in that cave human era) so the habit of writing long answers to any question has gone from blood to genes. And for this very reason, it would not be satisfying to say a few more things about Lazarus Syndrome.

Lazarus syndrome can be defined

Delayed return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after CPR has ceased.

That is, a person's cardiac arrest or heart attack causes the heart to stop beating and then to start again. This results in the resurrection of the seemingly "dead" person. Lazarus is named after Bethany Lazarus. According to the Bible, Jesus Christ gave Lazarus new life 4 days after his death.

When the new term "Lazarus syndrome" was first added to the medical field in 1972, there were at least 36 documented cases where patients resurfaced shortly after death due to the effects of Lazarus syndrome.

cPR or cardio-pulmonary resuscitation is a life-saving procedure that is started immediately after a patient's breathing and heart rate have stopped. Rescue breathing and chest compression are the two methods used to start CPR. Needless to say, rescue breathing allows oxygen to enter the patient's lungs and chest compression helps that oxygen-rich blood reach the brain and other parts of the body. When the patient's breathing and heart rate stop, irreversible damage to the brain occurs within minutes. So starting CPR very quickly when a heart attack or heartbeat stops is a very important step behind the patient's survival. According to a 2008 study, approximately 82% of patients with Lazarus syndrome have resuscitated within 10 minutes of CPR stopping, and 45% of patients have fully restored nervous system and brain function.

There are several theories as to the cause of Lazarus syndrome, although the exact cause is still uncertain. Some experts believe that the pressure exerted on the chest by CPR results in the heart regaining its function. Again some people think that not all drugs (such as adrenaline) that are injected intravenously during CPR can initially go into circulation. But when the speed of blood flow throughout the body is normal through CPR, it enters the circulation and starts working quickly. Again many blame hyperkalemia or excess of potassium in the blood for Lazarus syndrome.

Kadambari desperately proved that he was not dead

Benjamin Franklin once said

In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes

But to be honest, in the context of the current medical infrastructure, even death is probably not certain. Not only Lazarus Syndrome but also some other medical conditions like Hypothermia, Locked in Syndrome or Catalapsy which can make the living seem dead. The history of medicine has shown that there are many cases where a patient is mistakenly considered dead but later resurrected in a hospital morgue or on his deathbed. Even in 2014, a woman in New York City was pronounced dead after being brain dead. The woman was later taken to the operating room for treatment, where she regained consciousness. The license of this hospital was even revoked for this incident. Therefore, death certificate is issued not only for clinical or biological death but also for waiting for a certain period of time after CPR has been stopped as per the current guidelines.
