The Untold Story Of Rags-To-Riches People

I think most of us have a dream in our life to have financial freedom and it will happen if we have a plan to follow to get our desired goal. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said, "A goal without plan is just a wish."

Everything needs a plan to become more successful. It should be organized so you'll know what will happen. When an unexpected thing happens, you can easily resolve it.

There's a lot of people who are known as "rags-to-rich" people because of their hard work and success. They had a plan to make their goal accomplished and some of them are unexpected. The following are the people who are poor at first and suddenly became popular and had a good run of life.

Alfredo Yao

He is a sidewalk vendor at the age of 12 and has five siblings. His father died when he was 12 years old and needs to work hard so his family could live and have an income. He and his mother are the only ones who provide for their needs so he needs to work hard because their income isn't enough for them. 

However, his relatives helped him to finish his studies in elementary and highschool but he didn't finish his degree in college. His cousin taught him the concept of wrappers of candies and biscuits. Later on, he made his own product—a juice in a foil pack—and became famous at that time. Until now, his product is one of our favorite instant juices, what we call Zest-O.

Corazon D. Ong

A person who gave up her job for her own family. She decided to give up her job as a dietician because she wanted to give time for her family. She applied her skills as a dietician to prepare the foods of her family—specifically "baon" of her family for their work and school. 

She developed a skinless longganisa for her homemade siopao and became famous so she decided to borrow a money of Php 60,000.00 more likely $1,200 so she can start her business. As time went by, her business became successful and the CDO Foodsphere was born.

Mariano Que

He has a skill in pharmaceuticals and applied it after World War II and noticed that the drugs that he sells are in-demand. He made a wooden pushcart to be able to supply more drugs in his area. He saved all of his profit and built a drugstore named Mercury Drug.

Lucio Tan

He has a cigarette company of cigarettes also known as Fortune Tobacco that became famous throughout the years. He was the only one who pushed himself to continue his studies and earned some units at the University of the East of Chemical Engineering. 

Unfortunately, he didn't finished his college degree. This challenge put him to make his own company of cigarettes with the help of two cigarette machine. Because of his hard work and perseverance, he also built the company such as Philippine Airlines, Tanduay Distiller, and more on cigarette company.

Henry Sy

His father has a simple store in Manila, Philippines. It seems that his fate was bad and, trying his patience, his father's store was destroyed after World War II. Instead of giving up, he pushed himself to sell shoes and earned more money than he expected. 

He built his first store and named it Shoe Mart. He worked hard and upgraded his store into a standalone store. Later on, his business became popular and different branches were born. His business is SM Prime Holdings.

Conclusion

If you're thinking about giving up because of what you're experiencing right now, better to read this article again and learn to realize something. We shouldn't give up despite the difficulties because all of your hardwork will have a better outcome in the future. 

Who knows that you'll be the next billionaire in the next three years, right? Always remember that the key to become a successful person is working hard, patience, and perseverance. Everything has a process, everything has the right timing. Just continue on with what you're doing and fate will do the rest.
