Damong-maria Maria (also known as maria-maria, damong marya , and damong-marya ), artemisya or Artemisia (English: wormwood , mugwort , sagebrush , sagewort) is a large and broad variety of plants with species belonging to between 200 to 400 species, which includes the family of chrysanthemums or butons (Asteraceae , daisy in English). It consists of hardy and healthy herbs and shrubs known for their volatile oils (easily evaporated). They grow in temperate climates in the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere, usually in dry, low-lying areas. The white hairs cover the elongated leaves of the maria grasses. Some botanists divide the sari into other species (genes), but DNA testing (Watson et al. 2002) does not support the preservation of the Crossostephium, Filifolium, Neopallasia, Seriphidium, and Sphaeromeria species. But there are three other isolated but underlying species (Stilnolepis, Elachanthemum, and Kaschgaria) that are maintained in such a division by this evidence.
