Advantages of internet
Personally I think internet runs the world, we communicate, work, learned, make and earn money, shop, raised a fund, access different platforms and many things that we need to do in our regular day. To give you more information about this I will making a bullet explanation below for explanation why internet is advantageous to us human.
Connectivity
How can we talked to someone who is far away from us? How are we able to communicate and have connections to them? Internet, this makes our communication and connection easily and possible with someone who is fa away from us, we are able to see and check to our loved ones even though the distance between the two people are 13,232 in km or 8,222 miles or 20 hours of travel. I want to share this story about my father and his cousin, many years ago estimated around 10 to 15 years my fathers cousin leave our province without informing anyone else but then my father last week remember his cousin and try to look for it in social media particularly in the Facebook app he was so happy because he saw someone with the same name and surname and he tried to reach out and asked some information to confirm that this is his cousin and they talked about what happened before, and this week they are planning to give money to help him go home in our province again, even if the internet connection is slow they still manage to talked and communicate and this is because of the internet.
Information
Google is one of the website that we usually use to search some news, information, photo, or something about things that we want to know. In here we also learned different things, things that we did not realize that it is what it is and also some things that help us to study for our incoming exams, as a student internet become my source I can easily search and look for the information that I want to know and this is really important and helpful to me the time consumes in searching on internet and in a dictionary or book is really different, as they say internet makes our life easy.
Money and internet
We can post in the social media because of the internet and someone had a great idea to post something on the internet that they can sell and make money. Also we can pay bills using internet and I think this is so helpful for us people especially nowadays in our situation, pandemic affect our life we need to follow new protocols and rules for our safety and one of this is avoid contact with other and social distancing and internet save our life again, we can make money and pay or bills using internet. We can also buy something in the internet, like in the application that we used and really popular this day the shopee and lazada, in here we can freely choose what to buy and how to pay and we can do all of this with the help of internet.
Work from home
Ever since the internet was made people start different idea on how to used it and some use this advantages to study and work even though they are on their house, and they called it work from home or home study. We can also find some entertainment on the internet if we feel stress and want to watch something that may relieved your mood from being sad. One of the example of the thing we called work from home is when this pandemic starts my sister working in manila but then covid starts they need to stay at thier house and work at the same time, my sister went home in our province and still manage to work from home and she said that we are very lucky because of this she still manage to make money even though life has been tough lately.
There are many things about internet that we did not yet discover or explore but even though we have so many advantages from this internet and those are just some of many things that we can possibly do because internet made us. Hope that people will not abuse the power that we have on the internet.
Disadvantage of the internet
Having an internet might seem to have a good impact on everyone's life since it makes our work or i can even say everything a lot more easier. Specially in school works and office works because one click on the search button you will have your answers and not giving much effort but there is always a downside to everything. I admit that the internet is very convenient but we cant control what is insdie the online world we see them randomly and the worse part is we might be in danger just because of the internet.
On our senior high school year we had a topic about how dangerous the internet is, how so many hacker, fishing or even scammers taht we can encounter.
First lets talk about the hackers, these are the individual who have the skill to break into your computer using only a code or even just a simple bait ads, it can harm your computer or they can even shut it down completely.
The fisher, they use this technique to lure the victims into their bad deeds. Usually fishers victimized the rich to get they're money they use a relative's voice to do the bad activity. For me personally this is the worse case scenario beace using someone else's voice can cause a lot more horrible case than to just steal money from the rich they can kidnap someone. There are a lot of bad things that can happen just because of this internet, and it makes us think is the internet really good for us or it just disguised as a good thing to our world.
Scammers, it is a little similar to the fishing but it only involves money, the individual who do this disguised as a real worker who works at a company but once you gave them your important information they would empty your bank accounts and just ghost you sice they've already get what they want, and this is a very bad thing for us because we worked hard for that and just because of the internet all the money you earned will just disappear.
And for the kids they might encounter an explicit content that is not meant to be seen by the kids their age,it can be traumatizing for them and would need a help. Maybe there are a few good things on the internet but it is not always as good as we thought it would be especially with the kids who will surf on the internet be sure to keep a close eyes kn your kids, sibling, or even niece and nephew.
