Lia's POV:
This topic is created because one of my subscriber in noise.cash asked me in the comment section that goes like this "what is more better the online or modular classes" and I thought that this is one of the good topic to talk about especially nowadays we experience this.
To begin with, let's start in differentiate the two, modular class here in the Philippines most who take modular class are in lower grade like elementary or the primary and the High school or secondary in junior and some in senior depending on the school that they enrolled. Modular learning is accessible in all of the modes and some parents preferred this for their children because it is less expenses, the students parents is the one who is incharge to go to school and get the module that is inside of the envelope, this module is printed self modules. Our education secretary Leonor Briones stated that module is the backbone of the distance learning that was held today. On the other hand, online class is conducted over the internet and in our gadgets, some of Filipinos cannot afford to buy gadgets and internet and it is too expensive for them to buy load every day for their online class. In my opinion I think Philippines is not yet ready in this situation, this online class is held through a learning management system or platform, like me we use Ms teams in my online class because of this we are able to view and see our class course syllabus, conduct quizzes, activities, assignments and examinations and also view our academic progress. We also used this different platforms to communicate to our teachers and professors and also to our fellow students.
Personally I preferred online class compare to modular class because it is more effective for me, we can still gain some knowledge and learned something after the discussion, teacher still have time to discuss the topic and you can asked questions directly to your professor not like in the modular you need to self study all the topic in order to answer the taks in the modules. The assignments are given in the platform that is used so you can avoid contact with other people, it is also accessible like if you want to study in some university but it is far from where you live you can still enroll in that school because there is online class you don't need to go to school everyday to pass modules that is the advantages of online class
Shira's POV:
We recently made an article about Lia's family comment and their own thoughts about the online class, so now were back with another article about studies or much more related to some school stuff. Lia and i decided to share our own opinion about the online class versus the modular learning.
For starter I'll just paste a definition of those two here so we all understand fully what we are trying to say. According to google: The Modular learning was the most accessible of all the modalities, which parents themselves preferred for their children. This involved students being taught through printed self-learning modules. Education Secretary Leonor Briones called the modules the “backbone” of distance learning. And the online class definition is: Online learning is education that takes place over the Internet. It is often referred to as “e- learning” among other terms. However, online learning is just one type of “distance learning” - the umbrella term for any learning that takes place across distance and not in a traditional classroom.
So now that we have the basic knowledge between the two you might think that it is almost the same when in fact they are a bit different than one another. For me online class is much more difficult than the modular since you can have a lot of problems during the class like you can have connections problem disturbance or even not have the willingness to get up for the first subjects. Much worse than getting up early is to sleep at late night because you need to finish the assignments and submit it on time or else your hard will get deduction. The good thing about the online class is that there is a professor who will teach you the right explanation on the topic whilst on the modular you are on your own. The modular class on the other hand you'll get to have your own time and not stress about it, especially when you are good at time management it will be a lt easier. But in the Philippines where we live in only few schools and universities that are actually offering a real modular learning, you can take my university as an example of what i just have said, the university would give us an online form to answer and there would be options on how we would want to spend our study for the school year, so that time i basically chose the modular since im kind of introvert and its the most compatible learning for me but then i find myself attending some online classes and even listening to the professor for over an hour, and i would be left dumbfounded because i didn't enroll in that type of learning. I just hope that everything will become nornal again so we can be lets stressed about this kind of stuff.

As a mom, I love Normal regular school classes Vs online classes.. because kids hardly are committed sitting in front of a screen and listening to it... but at the same time, because of these online classes, their eating schedules are fine 🤣🤣.. I think they both have their own advantages and disadvantages
