Tithes and Offering

Almost all churches and praise houses engage in this ritual, where devotees of their chosen faith pay tithes and make offerings. However, some people are unaware of the similarities between the two.

The language used to discuss why Christians tithe causes a lot of confusion, is that Israelites were forced to send 10% of their wealth to God in the Old Testament. The tithe, or "tenth portion" was a legal recruitment. Many people are perplexed by the terminology used to explain why Christians tithe. This isn't to say they don't think generous giving is important; it just means they don't believe Christians are obligated to offer a certain percentage. In reality, some of these people believe that a tithe demands far too little of us, considering the early Christian model. Thus, to people who do not truly believe in tithing nor who does, it is their own perspective though.

But what is really the difference in tithes and offering. Well, as I've written, tithes is the 10th percent of all your income, while offering is the amount or any goods that you will be heartily given that do not require an exact amount or percentage. It doesn't mean that tithes is not given heartily because it has given designated value but all I am saying is, even if the two has it's differences, they also have similarity. They are both be shared and given to our faith houses with all the love in our heart. Because blessings comes not to those who give so much by a value but to those who is happily giving sincerely.
