What kind of friend are you?
The word “friend” is thrown around a lot, but what does it really mean to be a friend? I took some time to think about it, and here’s what i came up with:
A friend is someone who is always there for you. They might not always agree with what you do, but they will always be there for you to give you advice and support.
Here’s how you can tell who your real friends are:
1. They listen to your problems,
2. They give you advice,
3. They stick by you when things get tough,
4. You can tell them anything,
5. They accept you for who you are,
6. They don’t judge you,
7. They keep your secrets,
They won’t let you make a mistake without telling you first. A friend is someone who knows all about you, and loves you just the same. A friend is someone who listens to your boring problems and tells you they're boring. A friend is like a walking picture of how God would be if God were a person. And since we know God is the only person who can be exactly like that, we have to conclude that each of us is a friend of God's.
And just as friends are supposed to do, we listen to God's problems and tell Him they're not so bad after all. As a result of our friendship, God has given us some pretty OK gifts like hope and peace and joy.
Is your life as good as it could be?
If you answered no, don't worry; all of our lives are full of "someday" and "maybe." But if you answered yes, don't worry either! Someday isn't so far away after all. In fact, God is closer than you think.
Have you ever been asked "what kind of friend are you?"
There is an art to being a good friend, and one of the most important things that you can do is show up. It may sound crazy, but when you show up for your friends, they will show up for you.
Life is an app that lets you connect with your friends on a deeper level; it encourages a daily check-in. Life sends daily questions to help your friends know more about you and help you learn more about them. At the end of each week, Life curates the conversations into stories that bring your friendship to life.
Well, what kind of friend are you? The kind that's always there, but maybe doesn't have time to call? The kind that's always there when it really matters, the kind that's always there to listen, and laugh, and cry, and share? The kind to tell you how it is, when no one else will? That's the kind of friend that doesn't need a fancy gift to show them how much they're cared about. They already know. And now we're going to show you how to make a gift that leaves an everlasting impression.
I have friends who I can call and talk to about anything and everything. The ones who are always there when I need them and vice versa. To be honest my first instinct was to write all of these people off as having some type of mental problem, but they’re all pretty normal with their own idiosyncrasies. On paper they’re an impressive bunch of different personalities and backgrounds, who all seem to share a common ground and thing in common, but when it comes to friendship they all have one thing in common.
A friend worth having the ability to be that person for someone else. The question to ask yourself now is Are you a friend I can rely on in good times and bad. The one I can use their shoulders to cry on when am upset, and you celebrate.
Only a special and rare friend can be like what you have written up there.
