The tragic death of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput has shook both the nation and the film industry. Mumbai Police, which is investigating the reasons that could have probably led to his suicide,have now learnt that three days before his death, the actor had cleared the salaries and payments of his staff and household help.
According to a TimesNow report, the police had found in the investigation that while paying the salaries, Rajput had made it clear to his staff that he won’t be able to pay them further, to which his staff had said, “Aap ne humein itna sambhala hai, aagey hum kuch na kuch kar leinge” (you have taken such good care of us, in future, we’ll figure something out).

Salian, Rajput’s ex-manager, had committed suicide, on June 8. Rajput’s managers informed the police that the actor was ‘devastated’ after Salian’s demise and that he had secluded himself by locking himself up in his room.
“He was already in depression and news of Disha's suicide had given him a greater setback.” The police, however, couldn’t substantiate the manager’s claims.
According to the same report, the police have so far recorded ten statements. The statements of the director Shekhar Kapoor and actress Rhea Chakraborty could give significant help to the police in further investigation.
