In celebration of Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary, Nintendo has just announced the arrival of a Mario game collection for the Nintendo Switch, allowing players to relive the adventures of our favorite plumber, either at home or on the go.

The newly unveiled Super Mario 3D All-Stars combines three Mario adventure games in one collection – Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy.

In a two-minute trailer uploaded on the Nintendo Switch official Facebook account and YouTube channel, Mario can be seen clearing various stages and completing challenges found across all three games, this time featuring 3D visuals and improved sound of its 175 iconic tunes.

The collection will feature all three classic Mario games:

  • Originally released in 1996, Super Mario 64 was Mario’s first attempt into the 3D platform, featuring wall jumps, backflips and the ability to fly while exploring paintings and collecting Power Stars to save Princess Peach.

  • In 2002, Super Mario Sunshine was announced, where Mario shared the adventures with F.L.U.D.D. (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device), a liquid-spouting water pack. Here, he battles Bowser Jr. and collects Shine Sprites to wash away pollution from the picturesque isle of Delfino.

  • Five years later, in 2007, Mario explored space with the release of Super Mario Galaxy. In this edition, Mario helped Rosalina restore her ship by collecting Power Stars.

Aside from the improved visuals, there will be modern upgrades and even a music player mode and two player mode.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars arrives on September 18 as a limited release retail edition that is listed for $59.99 (P2,914) on the Nintendo website. Meanwhile, there is also a digital edition that will only be available until March 2021.
