He was rushed in; carried on four sides
His case, too urgent for the roller
Quickly, they put him on the E.R table
And the frantic rush to save yet another life begun.
There was so much blood
A bullet to his gluttial muscle, they said
From a gun triggered by our men in uniform
His crime was parking at the wrong place
Just for a piece of irresistible moin-moin
Back and forth, they went
Trying to stop the bleeding
And put the young man out of his misery
His shouts of agony filled the hall
And the 'be a man' pep talk was the only comic relief
They couldn't take the bullet out
They needed to know its exact dwelling
But the X-ray Officer could not come and go and die
So they waited in vain for his arrival
Two doctors, tired from their already 21 hours shift
Only one nurse available, exhausted in her sixth hour
They tried what they could
Cleaning and stitching
Blood-soiled wools litred all over
Bags of red liquid hung from a pole
Finding its way to the young man's vessels
Soon the shouting seized
And gloom descended
Time of death -8:47 p.m
Cause of death -gunshot wound
But we all knew that though the officer pulled the trigger,
The bullet didn't kill him
The system did
