Hi everyone, I'm kwabenah _jet and I would like to share my opinions on why I think financial literacy is very important in our world today ,infact it's a prerequiste everyone needs to have .
So , everything we do involves money directly or indirectly,from getting food to eat to even getting a place of abode. Hmm here in Ghana ,passing through the educational system with the best grades and honours is seen to be more important than the knowledge of money and how it works . Why shouldn't the people of Ghana be financially literate after all it gives us the opportunity to evaluate how our leaders use the taxes Ghanaians pay to effect change in their lives .Why should we value first class honours but forget to teach ourselves smart investing ,differentiating between assets and liabilities and stop buying overpriced stuff .These overpriced stuff do nothing but create more expenses for the ordinary Ghanaian who earns a low income which only see him through half a month .Earning first class honours doesn't guarantee success in the real world which has to do with money. We as Ghanaians must embrace financial literacy now ,our kids , family each and everyone of us must rise up to the test and may the good Lord help us .
