Serendipity (Original Poetry)
My arms bend, twist, and turn upside down
when I grab the wheels to straighten my spine
Aeons have passed since I looked inside
and now that I did, I’m mesmerized,
calm, lucid, and eager to reconnect with my inner child.
Memories reignite
shacking me to the core and
yelling from the shores
attuned to the waves and humanity’s folklore:
Where have you been all this time, beautiful soul?
Lost in the trenches,
pushing ideas, goals, and fancy dreams
towards a finish line that doesn’t exist,
stacking up on experiences and adventures
only to realize that chasing potential
pulls me further away from my core being.
I run, I weep, I fall asleep.
You waited patiently for my blissful energy
I get a glimpse of your gorgeous smile
while you look at me and ask:
Will you play with me one more time?
I’m grounded.
I arrived.
I’m ready to discover the world through your eyes.
I have my beloved child all the time.
I love animals, flowers, vegetables, and cars
Can you help me build a colorful avatar?
Finally,
I can see the missing pieces of the mosaic
They’ve waited to be realigned by me
shedding the layers of identity
How fragile you are, Serendipity?
