So, all I have to do is be patient and calm. And Allah is my only helper in what you narrate to me. [1]
How can a father say such a thing at such a high level of trust in God? Can it give the ultimate test of patience? And we know how great that exchange of patience was. Yusuf (peace be upon him) was later installed in Egypt by Allah (swt) as the king's faithful servant. The brothers who were at enmity with him one day threw him into a well. He brought them to his feet. He returned his beloved son Joseph to Jacob, and Joseph returned his beloved father to Joseph. Subhanallah! What a beautiful match across God! What a wonderful way to screw people over.
So, a believer will never be disappointed in the worldly hardships, in the βlostβ and βlostβ. In the moment of extreme danger, in both crises, the mother of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) accepted the judgment given by Allah and waited for the fulfillment of the promise made by Allah. Even on the day of Shaikh the son of Harana, the Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him) showed the ultimate peak of patience, Allah did not disappoint any of them. Allah has rewarded them for their sincere patience and trust in Allah. The Lord who is the mother of Moses is also your Lord. He who is the Lord of Yaqub (peace be upon him) is also your Lord. Put your trust in the mother of Moses. Surrender all your hopes and trusts to the very place where Jacob is the center of trust. Can't the one who can soothe the heart of Moses' mother give you the fruit of peace in your broken heart? Who can raise Musa (as) in the house of his worst enemy, to relieve your sorrow, your pain if he wants.
