Scientists and devotees sometimes become so engrossed in self-absorption that they forget everything at the moment of that pursuit. In this way, Newton was immersed in a new scientific thought. One day event. A man came to his house and showed him a prism (triangular glass) and asked how much it could cost. That man came to Newton to sell this prism. At this point Newton, considering the scientific importance of the prism, said that it was beyond his power to determine its true value. As a result, the man demanded more. Newton bought the prism at that price.
You may be surprised to know that he later invented the theory of color from this prism.
