Sharing my art journey this #throwback Thursday. Seeing my old drawings feels as if I saw a scandal. 😂 I get shocked each time I see them. I started drawing at the age of 9. My talent started to develop out of love for anime. I draw the characters I like by copying from different references. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to keep a single childhood drawing. At the age of 10, I started to be fond of drawing random anime style character designs as I observe different art styles while watching anime. I want to develop my own art style. High school drawings are some of the oldest drawings I was able to keep. I continued to enhance my art style. The first photo shows my old drawings. I stopped drawing for 8 years due to a busy life then I practiced drawing again last 2016. Muscle memory is real. My skills never changed. My recent drawings are the ones I've done now in my 30s. All thanks to youtube tutorials, I was able to correct my past errors with proportions and the distance between the eyes. I learned that drawings start with sketching, which I don't do before and this improved my drawing a lot. The second photo shows the difference whether it's a traditional or digital drawing. Youtube tutorials transformed my drawings from "scandal" to a well developed art style. 🎨
