Self-education will make you a fortune
Formal education will make you a living, self-education will make you a fortune – Jim Rohn
We can’t always stay where we are and not expect things to remain exactly the same. The world changes all the time and the more you learn, the better equipped you will be with the tools and knowledge to keep yourself ahead of the curve. If you never adapt, you’ll always fall behind. It’s important to continuously grow and evolve your skill set so you stay in front of the competition. The more you learn, the more opportunities present themselves for you to explore. You won’t succeed at everything, but by doing something every once in awhile, you’ll constantly progress.
Formal education will help you become employable. Self-education will make you rich. Formal education is full of theory, and self-education focuses on real life application. You cannot learn how to start your own business in any classroom. So why study at all?
A college degree isn’t the key to success, but it certainly gives you a leg up. Your formal schooling teaches you how to survive, but it doesn't teach you how to become successful. The key to success is to learn how to learn.
Self-education includes reading books and articles, learning new languages, taking courses online and attending seminars.
Self-education gives you a fortune, and it can also help you change the world around you”. What does this quote mean? Focused studies during your time at school can provide you with a good foundation to survive after graduation. However, these skills are not taught in schools. They need to be developed outside of classrooms. Therefore, I believe that self-education can give you a great opportunity to explore your interests and develop skills that can lead you to a career. Furthermore, most of the skills required to run a business are taught when you start running one. So, instead of spending time building the skills to run a business while doing nothing, learn those skills first and then build your business.
Start working hard immediately after graduation, then focus on getting as much self-knowledge as possible. Don’t wait until you are 30 or 40 years old to begin developing the skills you need. Once you have built up enough capital, create your own business.
If you want to change your life, you must change yourself. If we remain the same we will always get the same results. Life will never give us what we want if we are not willing to change ourselves to fit what we desire. We must first accept the fact that anything less than everything we wish for will not happen. The question is - does this mean we should stop trying? No! Instead, we should be determined to achieve all we want as long as we continue to embrace change. Allowing ourselves to grow is what will help our dreams come true.
I like your arguments here bro. But still, we cannot say that our fate and success will depend whether we are formally educated or self-educated.
