Locate Your Center Prior to Exam
My center was at PRIME TOUCH COMPUTER, PLOT 5 & 6, BESIDE GZI COMPANY AREA 5, OPIC ESTATE, IPERIN, OGUN STATE. This particular location was along Agbara. Permit me to travel back in time, when I did the reprint to check my exam center and saw that particular address since I didn't have any idea about the place, I searched it on Google map but to my utmost dismay, the address wasn't on Google map. So I decided to break the address down into smaller constituents. After about an hour, I was able to locate it using the name of the company beside it, but something still baffles me though, that particular prime touch school as big as it is, is not on Google Maps. I don't know why it is like that though.🤔
Due to how far the place is from my area, I left the house around 5:30 am. I met a fellow candidate on my way to the place and on getting to the bus stop, we asked people for directions and we were able to locate the place just in time, on getting there, the verification and thumbprinting were just about to start. I arrived at the location a few minutes past 7 a.m. The verification process was quite easy. We just thumb printed and entered straight into the exam hall. There were security officials on the ground but I only noticed one and he arrived around 7:30 am and also complained about the fact that he was not able to locate the place easily. The exam didn't commence at the exact time and I couldn't check the time the exam commenced because we were already inside but after the whole exam, the time was 11 am so I guessed the exam started around 9 am since it was a two-hour paper.
There were CCTV cameras in the hall. I don't know how many but CCTV cameras were present. There was adherence to the use of face masks but there were no hand sanitizers though and much attention wasn't given to spacing, in short, covid 19 procedures were not strictly adhered to at my center. There were about seven invigilators in the hall. There weren't any technical issues with my laptop though, all the questions were complete, there were no blank options, and I was able to finish my exams without any technical issues. We were only allowed to go in with pencils, am not sure the use of biro was allowed. There was no provision for rough sheets, I used my exam slip for calculations. On getting to my seat, I met the system already turned on, all we need to do was just to input our registration number and start the exam. So weren't required to power on the system ourselves.
There was a total of 180 questions, 60 for use of English and 40 each for the remaining subjects. My subject combination was the use of English, mathematics, chemistry, and physics. There was provision for a keyboard and mouse but since I used a laptop so I used the laptop mouse and keyboard. I noticed that the laptop wasn't working properly so I use the keyboard to pick my answers, A for option A, B for option B, C for option C and D for option D, N for the next question, P for the previous question, arrows keys use to scroll up and down the exam page and S for submit. On the laptop screen, I was also able to switch from one subject to another at will. I didn't get the chance to use the S key though as my exam submitted itself automatically 🥺. I used the laptop mouse whenever I wanted to use the on-screen calculator, the calculator worked properly.
My system shut down automatically when my time elapsed. I asked one invigilator the implications, he said I shouldn't be worried because the system already submitted it automatically. I didn't encounter any technical issues throughout the exam, everything went on smoothly. There weren't many irregularities in the process. Aside from the fact that time wasn't adhered to, everything else went on smoothly. Oh, less I forget, we also didn't sit down according to our seat number.
Other candidates that were not able to participate in the mock because of various reasons should also note that the exam was quite easy but technical. In the use of English, there were a few questions on "LIFE CHANGER". There were questions on the register, comprehension passage, synonyms, antonyms, sounds ( vowel, consonants), stress, and emphatic stress. There were also fill-in-the-gaps questions and sentence interpretations. Mathematics was also quite easy, there were questions on sets, AP and GP, circle geometry, surd, logarithms, and a host of many others. Chemistry was quite technical, questions on organic chemistry, the naming of organic compounds were prevalent, chemical equilibrium, electrolysis, stoichiometry, and many more. In physics, questions cut across topics like sound waves, concave and convex lenses, separating techniques, upthrust, weight e.t.c
