Positive pressure brings out the Treasure in you.

Do you ever get discouraged when things don’t go your way? Everyone at some point feels down or has bad days.

It’s normal to feel frustrated from time to time. The question is whether you let those feelings distract you or they motivate you. If you want to improve your life, stop letting negative emotions derail you. Instead, learn to manage them.

I've had my fair share of ups and downs, but I didn't make excuses or allow myself to get stuck in either. Don't forget no one ever became successful by making excuses.

The thing excuses is that you'd never run out of them.

Every successful person you admire had a 1000+ reason to give up. They succeeded because they chose to make progress instead of making excuses. That's why sustainable success doesn't happen overnight.

If you're given MONEY, it can pay your bills today. If you're given KNOWLEDGE, it can pay your bills now, tomorrow and even beyond.

Successful people trade the 'litte' they have now so as to have much 'MORE' tomorrow.

Pressure is what brings out the Treasure in you. Comfort will make your life Confined.

Stay around people who apply positive pressure on you till your greatness breaks forth.

Don't yet have such persons around you?

Take the initiative now. Apply some pressure on yourself my friend. Put some pressure on!

Simple Strategies to Overcome Obstacles

1. Apply positive pressure

There are many reasons to pressure ourselves into doing well and having high expectations. But we always need to remember that the only people who do not have goals are those who never get started! In order to achieve our goals, we should set our sights really high and work towards them every day. When we set our goals too low, we will feel frustrated that we cannot reach our desired destinations and this can lead us to give up. We need to use both realistic goals and big ambitions if we want to thrive.

2. Be Self-discipline

Self-discipline is the ability to overcome negative emotions and follow through with our plans. One of the most powerful ways to become self-disciplined is to break down our tasks into small steps and then reward ourselves once we complete each step. If we don't take action, we risk becoming overwhelmed by stress and anxiety. Take control of your life by setting attainable goals, scheduling your activities, and rewarding yourself for accomplishing what needs to be done.

3. Be Patient

Last but not least, patience is the virtue of taking things slowly. Be patient even when others around you do not understand your intentions. Everyone goes through different stages and learning takes time, so stay patient until you reach your goal. It's hard to achieve something we desire but it is worth waiting for, isn't it?

4. Be Consistent

Consistency is everything in life. This applies to both your physical and mental health. If you are consistently getting good grades at school, then you are going to get good grades at college. If you consistently exercise, you are going to increase muscle mass. Consistency builds confidence and belief in yourself.

5. Never give up

I know that this advice may seem obvious, but I have seen many people quit too soon in their fitness journey. You need to develop patience and perseverance. When things aren't going well, do not panic and run away. Instead, try to analyse what went wrong, figure out ways to improve it and keep moving forward. The best way to succeed is to learn from failure.

6. Believe you can

If you believe that you can do something, then you probably won't fail at it, right? I have seen this time and time again. There are many people who try their hardest but they never seem to make any progress. Then after several months or years of trying, they finally give up because they just cannot get themselves to meet their goal. This is where we need to change our mindset. We need to think of ourselves as the person who has already succeeded and we need to use that as motivation to keep going. Just remember, if you haven't tried yet, then how would you know whether or not you can actually achieve your goal? So don't let fear hold you back from achieving your goals.

7. Don't compare yourself to others

Comparison is the thief of joy. If you find yourself comparing your life to other people's lives, then realize that you are only bound to feel low. When evaluating your own performance, always look at what you have achieved instead of what someone else has done. Your success should be solely based on the work that you put into it. And if you really want to improve, then focus on improving your skills, knowledge, abilities and strengths rather than focusing on the weaknesses. By doing this, you will start feeling positive about yourself and will build confidence that will lead to success.

8. Have a Plan B

If your first attempt fails, have a backup plan. You don't want to be left sitting at home wondering what happened if things go wrong. Always have a fallback plan, but make sure to follow through with it... I'm serious!

9. Take time out for yourself

This one may sound simple, but it's so easy to forget that we need to take care of ourselves. You aren't getting anywhere if you're not healthy and happy. Taking some time for yourself once in awhile will help boost your morale and energy levels. Sometimes, we need to recharge our batteries. So, as you apply the pressure on yourself to succeed, go ahead and enjoy some alone time.
