If you are a blogger, then you know that the audience is the most important part of your business. You can have a great blog, but if no one sees it, then what's the point? This is why it is so important to grow your audience.

So how do we get more people to read our blogs? Well, here are some tips:

1. Write Awesome Content That People Want to Read

Writing awesome content is the first step to building an engaged audience. You need to keep your readers entertained, informed, and educated about current events, and make them feel good about themselves. Your goal here should be to write content that solves a problem, entertains, informs, educates, and motivates your audience. If you try to do all five at once, you’ll lose sight of what really matters. Your top priority should be to provide value to your target audience without being annoying!

2. Create A Sustainable Posting Schedule

When I say “consistent and sustainable” I mean something like daily, every other day, weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on the value you offer and your ability to sustain such the chosen schedule over time. By scheduling your posts ahead of time, it keeps you committed to producing great content regularly, which then helps build trust with your followers. Your readers will feel more comfortable knowing when you're planning to post again, and this will make sticking around easier. Also, it gives you a consistent way to gauge progress. You know that you're making progress when you see a steady increase in views over time. If you only post sporadically, you risk losing credibility and relevance in your community.

3. Make Sure Your Posts Are Relevant and On Topic for Your Audience

You shouldn’t assume that just because your audience is interested in soccer news, they would be interested in everything related to sports. Be selective with what topics you cover. Only discuss those things that appeal to your niche and meet a real need in your audience. Don’t talk about politics if you don’t know anything about them. Don’t get involved in heated arguments about controversial issues if you don’t have any experience with the topic. Keep your posts focused on relevant topics.

If you're trying to appeal to a wide variety of audiences, chances are that many of those different types of readers will go off on entirely different tangents. So you'll need to keep your focus narrow. And if you don't, you could end up losing a lot of potential traffic. Keep in mind that it's not just about being relevant to your own niche, but to your potential audience as well. Consider what topics will interest the people you hope to attract to your blog. What do they care about? What problems do they face? What questions do they have about things like starting a business, getting married, finding love, etc.? Think of ways to address these issues directly, and make sure that everything you say (or link to) falls under that umbrella.

4. Make Sure Your Posts Are Properly Optimized For Search Engines!

When you optimize your posts, you make them easier to find online. Search engine algorithms (SEO) reward sites that receive high traffic with higher rankings. But high rankings aren’t always a good thing. I'm going to assume that you already know how to optimize your site for SEO purposes. But even though you understand how to properly use keywords, titles, descriptions, and meta tags, you may not realize just how important proper title tags are. Title tags are what show up in a user's browser window, and they're arguably the most important thing you can put on your page. After all, it's the first impression that visitors get when they arrive at your site.

5. Comment on Other People's Posts

Commenting on other people’s posts is one of the easiest ways to build up your following. You should only do so when you have something worthwhile to say. Make sure that you add value to the conversation by providing relevant information or insights. If you leave relevant comments on other people’s blogs, you will gain more followers than when you simply post links to them. People who read your comments will see that you are an active reader and commenter. They will also notice that you are interested in what they have written. As a result, they might follow you back.

6. Build an Email List

Create an email list where people can subscribe and receive notifications when new posts are available on your site. Email marketing is one of the best ways for bloggers to build relationships with their readership because it allows them to stay in contact with them on a regular basis without having to spam everyone constantly or spam someone's inbox by accident!

7. Give Away Free Content!

Don't be afraid of giving away good stuff for free—if people love your writing, they'll want more of it! Don't think about the cost—just get the information out there for those who are interested in learning more about the topic or product that you're offering up as an incentive for their support.
