This post of mine is about the preventive measures or relating about some tips about phone viruses and being hacked or watch over by the cyber hacking.

Now more than ever, we rely on our phones for everything. From work to communication to play, it seems like all is just a phone tap away.

But do you know how to keep safe while using your personal device? The constant concern over security has been surfacing even more than usual lately news of compromised safety allegations against tiktok, the incredibly popular video, based social media app. With the US. government considering banning the app.

And the country India already have done so, its time to take a look at your phone and clear out any other apps that may end causing you more than good.

Here are somethings to be aware of:

Is your vulnerable to a cybertalk? If you're making any of these mistakes then you are.

Cyber crime is, unfortunately a growth industry and more and more bad, actors are using our phones as their forms of attack. According to the research conducted by digital security company iovation, 59% of of risky transactions in North America, happen on mobile devices. Fraudsters are like chameleons. They are always adapting their tactics to make it look like they're legitimate customers. Said of one who is victim of hacker's.

This maybe had been true when smart phones first become popular, it is simply no longer the case. Infact, in the United States, nearby 1.42% all devices have been subject to a ransomware attack.

So out of 100 people you pass onnthe streets at least 1 of those people has had a virus on their phones. This is a problem for individuals and the companies they work for. Growing numbers of people are, accessing sensitive corporate and personal content on the same mobile device.

They use for checking Facebook, downloading games, and emailing friends, a mobile threat defense solutions provider. Personal apps can be serious exposure pointas many hackers use legitimate apps to create trust with users while getting them to pass over sensitive information or download malicious content.

We ask cyber experts to share the most vulnerable points of attack that criminals used to access the data, on your phone and what you can do to protect your self.

SAFETY TIPS TO AVOID YOUR PHONE OF BEING HACKED :

  • Avoid public wifi

Always use VPN(virtual private network) when on your mobile device. a VPN protects you from connecting to the same un protected network as multiple other users. These open wifi networks allow cyber criminals to easily distribute malicious software to every one connected in the blink of an eye.

  • DONT USE PUBLIC CHARGING STATIONS

Changing cellphones via usb from a public computer or charging stations puts ones data and device at risk, however sometimes there is no other option in such cases, the best thing to do is to find a wireless charger that will refresh the devices battery but not endanger the smart phone or its data.

For example, in addition tobits wireless charging technologies, apple has a recently added a feature that asks the user when charging with the USB from a computer, if they trust the computer. But if the user don't trust charging computers only the battery of the smartphone is charged and no data transferred.

  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PASSWORD PROTECTED LOCK SCREEN

One of the biggest mistakes people make is not having a pin or password set on the phone. Think about it, we take our phones every where, and if only takes amount of in attention at a store, hair salon, or coffee shop to allow someone to pick up your phone. In just a few minutes. A hacker can install a spy app on your phone that can monitor of what you do. Or a thief can have access to your phone data information.

  • USE TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

Having two factor authentication set up on your devices or major personal accounts email, banking etc. Can make huge difference if you ever become a victim of hacking. Two factor authentication adds an additional layer of security to your account.

  • DON'T HAVE A TEXT PREVIOUS ON YOUR SCREEN

Text previous are what you see on your lock screen when someone texts you. If these are enabled, it will show the content of the message. If disabled, then it will simply notify you that there’s a message to view. The problem with the text previous give the hackers access to your text messages, even if they don't have the pass code to unlock your phone. Many websites now used two factor authentication which means you can login to your email account, social media profiles, or bank, they send for or six digit pin to your phone that you have to input to verify it is really you.

  • DELETE OLD EMAILS

If you never delete the probably hundreds of log in emails from your email account, you have created a gold mine for hackers, all they have access to every service or website you used.
