Ethan was having dinner at his favorite restaurant, as usual. He was from a rich family and he was a business owner. So, he could afford his daily dinners at the expensive restaurant. But that dinner became special for him.
He was about to finish his dinner. And then he asked the waiter to bring him the bill. After paying the bills, Ethan was about to leave. But then a confrontation between staff members caught his attention. He saw the manager behaving in a bad way with staff. What caught his attention more was the staff's being of black skin.
He saw the manager be angry with the girl. He told her that she was not doing a good job. He asked her if she could do anything properly. He added that he would fire her if she continued it. But the girl could not understand anything and so she said that she had not done anything wrong. The manager ordered her to shut up and reminded her to thank him for hiring someone who looked like her.
Ethan could not listen to her being put down. So, decided to interfere and stepped back towards them. He was well known in town. So, the manager immediately recognized that be my guest. He asked the manager what made him think it was ok to talk to her that way.
The manager wished him a good evening and replied that he had not said anything. Ethan was irritated with the managers' lying and he said that he hoped the manager did not want to lose an important client like him. He added that he wanted that to be the last time she had been spoken to in that manner.
Then he came out of the restaurant and the girl followed him. She was so happy and thank him. She also said that no one ever stood up for her. Ethan smiled and said that it was nothing and added that he could not stay silent. He also asked her if she wanted him to walk her home. And she agreed.
They walked towards home and on the way they talked and laughed a lot. They felt like that they had known each other their whole lives. Ethan realized that he was already in love with her. When they reached her home, he asked her if they would meet again. He added that he would love to see her. The girl also said the same.
So, they started dating. They walked together, went to the movies, and also had dinner in restaurants. During that time they were inseparable. And after six months of dating, Ethan finally decided to introduce his girlfriend to his parents. On that day, Emily told him that she was feeling anxious. But Ethan assured her and said that it would be okay.
But as soon as his parents saw her, it was obvious from the expressions that they would not accept her. Emily wished them a good afternoon. But they didn't wish back, his mom asked Ethan if that was a joke instead. His dad also said that it must be a prank. But Ethan cleared them that he loved her and intended to marry her. He also told them that they had to accept his choice.
His mom got angry and told him to take her back to the African tribe he had found her in. She announced that that was unacceptable. His dad added that they were a decent family. Those words were so mean that Emily started crying. She ran out of the house.
And Ethan also ran after her to stop her. He told her to forgive them. But she didn't stop and told him that they should call it quits and it would be better that way. She requested him to let him go.
She moved into another house the very same day. Ethan called her several times. But she didn't pick up and switched off the phone. She thought it would be better that way as she didn't want to ruin Ethan's life.
The girl disappeared from his life. He continuously phoned her and went to her apartment. But he didn't found her because she had already moved into another house. His all attempts of searching her wnt in vain. The love of his life got away from him.
5 years had passed since then.
One day Ethan's father was walking home from the store when he felt a sudden sharp pain in his chest. The manager of the nearby restaurant saw him through the window. The manager was her, Emily. But they didn't recognize each other because Ethan's dad had become older than he was.
However, she rushed out to help the old man. She told him that it was okay and told him just to breathe. She told him that she would walk him home. And when she saw his mansion, she remembered who he was. She asked him if he was Ethan's father. And at that moment Ethan opened the door and saw her.
He was so astonished and said that he could not believe that she was there. She could not hold back her tears. He came and hugged her. He said that he had been looking for her for years. He asked her why she walked away from him and added that he still loved her.
She replied that she still loved him too. That day his parents decided not to get in their way. They realized that their son's beloved was a kind and decent girl. His mom said to Emily that they apologized. His dad thanked her. And finally, Ethan and Emily could be together forever.
Love is blind. It erases the boundaries of social status, appearance, skin color, and ethnicity. Don't get in the way of love.
