It began two month ago when David opened his eyes after 2 days of unconsciousness in the hospital. The doctor who was in his side could then figure out that David couldn't remember anything except his name. The doctor told him that he was admitted in the hospital with an injury in head. She then told him his story.
His relatives were not the persons who brought him in the hospital. It was the police. They found him in the deep forest. The found David unconscious and instantly checked his pulse. When they were sure that he was alive they called the ambulance and brought him here. After this two days had passed.
You had no documents or phone or anything so that the hospital authority or the police would find out his family. Nobody knew that how David was in the deep wood or why he was there. Everybody was clueless.
After this David requested the doctor whether she could give back his memory. He was in a terrible condition. The doctor also didn't disappoint him saying that his wound was healing and will be completely healed soon. Then he would be able to remember everything.
It was doctor Mia who took every care of him because he was scared and felt lost. She was an affectionate woman and did her duty in a proper way. She build a good relation with her patient too. Everything was going smoothly until the day David over heard she and the departmental head's conversation.
He told Mia to discharge David from the hospital. Mia resisted it saying that he didn't remember anything. But the head suggested to find David a place in the mental hospital. After this Mia left the office in tears and saw David on the door side. David was in a smiley face so that Mia be more sad for him.
He told her that the departmental head is quite right. Because he couldn't live his whole life in the hospital. Mia said that she couldn't let him to live on the street and his condition would be worse as he didn't remember himself. The she told him her story.
Her father was the best surgeon in the city. He had to work 16 hours a day to save the life of his patients. Consequently he had health issues. One day, while returning from night duty he was returning home on foot. On the way he felt sick and fainted. He became unconscious and people were just passing by him thinking that he is homeless though he put on apron. He saved life of lots of people, but in return the people ignored his life. I finally could find him but it was too late. I called on an ambulance and brought him to his hospital where he was certified to be death.
Mia told David that she was feeling that he was a good person who was brought in trouble. So, she decided not to leave him alone. Mia posted a photo of David in the internet to knock the chance if any close person of David would recognize him.
Mia and David started to spend a lot of time together. To be very clear, they dated. One day they were enjoying a boat journey and David told her that he felt like they had been together for many years. They started to get to know each other and found out that they had many things in common. These continued for a couple of months and one day David proposed her. But the same day Mia got a message from David's wife!
His wife saw the photo Mia posted on internet. And messaged Mia that she would be coming soon. But David couldn't recognize if he was married. When he saw the woman he told that he didn't know her. But the woman got closed to him and said that she had missed him a lot over the period. David asked her to show a proof that she was his wife. She showed their wedding photo and also the photo of their son. There was no doubt left and David couldn't but go with the woman. Mia also was about to burst into tears because she loved David a lot. But she acted as a doctor and suggested to stay with his family so that his memory come back faster.
David had no choice so he went to the woman's house. There he found a little boy. The woman told the boy that his father had come back. The boy burst into tears saying that he should not have left him Also requested him to stay with him forever. David didn't know anything but he assured the boy and hugged him.
David decided to find out the truth of his this condition from his wife. So, one day while taking dinner he asked her how he was in the forest. His wife replied that he was on a business trip. He asked again that she had told him that he was a restaurant owner, so why he needed to go to another city. She was unable to reply and said that David was the one who could answer that.
Time flied as it does. But David couldn't get used to his family. He still felt comfortable to lay on the living room. His wife came to him one day and rebuked him for doing this for the month. But he wanted some more time. Then he started spend to time with his son, Harry. But it didn't helped him. But one chance meeting changed everything.
One day he was with his son in the park. He was playing and David sat on the nearer bench. Suddenly, a woman came to him and asked if he were back and forgiven his wife. David replied that he had lost his memory and if they knew each other. She replied that she had been working as a waitress in David's restaurant. He then asked why he should forgive his wife. What she had done. Then the waitress told him everything.
Harry was not his son. But this was not the problem. He and Lily had been married for 5 years. He used to worked hard in the restaurant all the time. On contrast, Lily was always out wasting his money. Once she was tired after a party and slept at the playground. Harry, a homeless child climbed very high on the nearer tree and fell down. David found both of them and admitted the boy in the hospital. Lily asked to give her some time as she needed to put herself together.
In the X-ray it was figured out that he had an open fracture and needed a blood transfusion. David agreed to be the donor but they were not in the same blood type. The doctor said that he were not Harry's father and so on.....
Suddenly, memories began to come back to David. Gradually he could remember everything and also the reason of his going to the wood.
David was irritated with Lily and wanted to be get divorced. So, he filed for divorce from Lily right away. Lily also wanted this because she had a boyfriend. But she wanted to keep the restaurant for herself. So, before separation David went to the house to fetch his belongings and Lily got the chance to get rid of him. She gave a glass of water to him mixing sleeping pills. Then she hit his head with a rod and then along with her lover she took David to the deep forest.
But they had no idea that he was alive. Then one day Lily saw a photo of him on the internet and got scared because that was the time she could figured it out that her plan didn't work. She thought that David could go to the police and tell them everything.
At once David could remember everything and he called the police. Lily and her lover was arrested for this. After this David packed his things and drove to the hospital where he was taken 2 months ago.
He found Mia and told her that he had come back to her. Mia asked about his wife and family. David told her everything and also told that Mia was his family then and he promised to never leave her. Mia agreed and soon they got married.
The couple took care of Harry who had become the elder brother to their daughter.
Mia showed kindness to the helpless man David and soon she found the best gift of her life. David also get back his family and could stand again. So, it is perfectly said that kindness is being a breath of fresh air to someone when they feel like they are suffocating.
