Happy Marriage
It was morning. The wedding salon just opened and the clients started to arrive. The staffs are busy with them. And suddenly, a little girl walked in there. She had a garment bag in her hand.
One of the staff came to assist her. That girl named Mira asked the staff who ran that place. The staff didn't reply to her this question, she rather asked the girl what she wanted. She took out a wedding dress from the garment bag. She said that she would like to return it.
"This dress?", said the staff "Such items, especially old ones, can't be returned or exchanged."
Hearing this, the girl became so sad and said that she really needed to. She requested that it was very important to return. However, the staff could not help her more. The conversation was about to finish. But the owner of the salon heard the commotion and approached them.
She asked what was going on there.
Mira replied that she wanted to return the dress. The owner saw the dress and was sad because they could not take it to return. However, she asked the girl where she had even got it. The girl replied that it belonged to her mom. Then she requested the owner to help her.
The girl's request seemed strange to the owner but she decided to hear her out. She took the garments bag in her hand and asked Mira to go with her. She asked her to tell her what had happened and then they would come up with something.
They went to the owner's office room and she requested Mira to take a seat. Then she started saying:
She was walking in the park the last afternoon and overheard two old ladies' conversation:
- My niece divorced her husband! Because of that dress!
- What was wrong with the dress?
- She sold it!
- So what?
- Don't you know? It's a well-known superstition! If you sell your wedding dress, your marriage is ruined!
"So, you decided to return the dress to ruin your mom's marriage?", said the salon owner "With your stepdad?"
"No... with my dad!", replied the innocent little child. She also told the owner that her mom and dad were fighting all the time and she could not take it anymore.
They both blamed each other because they had been married. Her father was sick of her mom. They fought too much and became bored. Their last saying is always why they had married each other and used to regret it. And they forget that they had a daughter who witnessed everything. They never cared about the little girl.
Mira could not hold back her tears and told the owner that she loved them both, but wanted them to get a divorce! It was because she wanted them to be happy separately from each other. And to stop tormenting her...
The woman was touched by the girl's words. She thought that she should talk to her mom. So, she decided and the girl took her to her house. Her mom opened the door and was stunned to see this lady with her daughter. She was happy and asked her what brought her there.
They sat in the living room and Mira went to her room. The owner told Mira's mother what had happened in her wedding salon. Mira's mom's eyes filled with water. She replied that it was true. Their marriage was on the rocks. The owner suggested her get a divorce or stop fighting and stop tormenting their child.
That talk led the girl's mom to have a conversation with her husband. She told him that their daughter went to a wedding salon that day. At first, he was so angry and asked why she went there. But when he heard what had happened, he felt terribly ashamed. "Our poor girl... It's our fault!", he said "We are so consumed by constant fights that we forgot about her!"
And after this everything gradually everything became normal. They resolved to make things right.
One evening, Mira was eating in the kitchen and her mom was cooking. And that moment her dad returned from work with a flower bouquet. Her mom became so happy and could not imagine he could give her flowers. And this was not all, her husband invited her on a date that night.
The couple made effort to listen to each other. They did the small tasks that their partner liked but was about to forget. And their feelings for each other reignited.
Now Mira says, "Mom, Dad! You look so happy! Now I am happy too!"
Thanks to their daughter, they fell in love again...And promised each other to always show their daughter an example of a happy marriage.
Children are happy when their parents are happy with each other! Keep that in mind!
