Rimi and her mom always were like friends. They looked the same and had the same hair. They also wore the same dress. One day her mom told her to look at them, and to notice that she and her mom looked like sisters. Rimi also knew it and it was not surprising to her.
Rimi's mom had her when she was 16 and she didn't really know Rimi's father. They met on a game gallery and that strange young man came to her. He praised her and said that her dress looked so good on her, but in his view, it would look even better to see her in his room. And Rimi's mom agreed. Moreover, she didn't understand that she was pregnant until she was into labor in a restroom. She cried out in pain. And people there brought her to the hospital. There she gave birth to a daughter and was satisfied with her. She said that she could not believe her eyes. She thought the baby's father would be happy too.
But needless to say, Rimi's father wanted nothing to do with her and her mom. When her mother met with her father, he asked her if she was kidding him because it was just a fling for him. And moreover, he was not even sure that the baby was his. He left saying to Rimi's mom not to ruin her life and give the baby up for adoption.
As Rimi was growing up, her mom never tried to hide that story from her and was proud of herself. She often told Rimi about the story and said she had kept her after all of this and that was the right thing to do. She told Rimi to look at herself, she was so cute. They were so close with each other that she had a hard time coming to terms with Rimi's move. As she was moving for study purposes, her mom cried and got angry. She told her that she was a traitor. Rimi was hurt and requested her not to say that.
However, she had to go and moved to a nearby town. There she met Ryan, they were smitten with each other. After six months of incredible courtship, he popped the question, "Will you marry me?" Rimi was waiting for that day so happily agreed. She could not wait to introduce him to her mom. That very day she phoned her mom and told her about Ryan. One night, her mom came to them and asked him if he could fix the bed in her bedroom. Ryan happily went with her. It was unusual for Rimi but said nothing for that day. Her mom told her that she was lucky to be engaged to a man like him, he was so good-looking. And she reminded her that real friends share everything. Rimi was shocked and her mom laughed. She said that it was just a joke. For everything, Rimi was not going to stay at her mom's for long, but her mom and fiance made a decision without her. When she told him about leaving, he said that he took time off, they could spend the whole month at her mom's. He asked her if she was happy. Rimi could not but say yes in a sad mode. By that time, Ryan and she were trying for a baby for a few months, but it was in vain. She had tests and the doctor reported that she was infertile.
She informed Ryan everything and burst out in tears, but he said that to him it was not a problem. He consoled her and said that they could always adopt an orphaned baby. But things became complicated and she was astounded when she caught him in bed with her mom. She asked them how they could do that to her. But she grew even more astonished when she heard her mother's explanation.
Her mom said that she had done it for her as Ryan told her that Rimi was infertile. So, she would have his baby and give him to Rimi. She also said that she had been sure that she would be on board. Ryan also supported Rimi's mom. He said that her mom was right and she was still young and pretty and that baby would be almost like Rimi's own. It was better than adoption in his view. Her mom got angry and said that on top of that, she would have ended up in the orphanage if it had not been for her. Then she said, "How dare you criticize me?"
Rimi repeated the question and left the home and went back to the college town the very same day; She cried like a baby in her apartment. But there was no one to support her. She could not believe that two of her closest people would betray her like that. But all things happen for the better because one year later she met her future husband. On their wedding day, she was so glad and said to her husband that he was the best gift for her. And it seemed that God was saving Rimi for "the one" because she had a wonderful son with him. When she took her son in her lap, her husband was there. He told her that the boy had her eyes! The most beautiful eyes in the world.
And Rimi was not mad at her mom and hoped that one day she would realize her mistake and come into her son's life because forgiveness is a gift.
