By not being indifferent, you might suddenly find happiness

Mike worked as an American border guard. He was honest and did his duty properly. One night he and one of his colleagues were walking at night. They were moving towards the border area. It was a dark night but they had a torch in their hands. So, it helped them see a cage in a distance.

"Oh my God! Someone left a child in a cage!", said Mike.

The boy was so angry and looked unsocial. So Mike's colleague said that it seemed as though he had spent his whole life in there.

The boy huddled in the corner of the cage and growled like a frightened animal. Mike said, "Who would leave a caged child on the border of two countries? And why?"

His colleague suggested him that they should push it away from their side and it would not be their headache anymore. Mike was stunned and asked him what he was talking about. He exclaimed that it was a child.

Then he turned towards the boy and asked him who had done that to him. While he was stepping down towards the cage, he thought that the child had to be urgently taken to a doctor. Mike wanted to open the cage to get the boy out, but he only grinned and growled. So, he covered the cage with his jacket and took him to a medical center.

When the doctor learned everything, he was so bored and asked Mike what he needed that boy for. He suggested him to put that Mowgli back where he had found him, and that was it!

Mike was trying his best to hold back his tears. None of his colleagues knew that his son disappeared 10 years ago. His marriage broke up because of this, but he still felt guilty for not saving his son.

However, the doctor was so bored at Mike's meaningless deed. He clearly told him that the boy was wild and he would never be socialized. And finally, he would go to a psychiatric clinic. The boy was out of the cage and at that moment, he angrily dug into the doctor's hand.

He restlessly said, "Ahhh, what did I say?!"

Mike pulled the boy away. He thought he would lock him in the cage and take him back. He did so, locked the boy in the cage, and start driving. In the car, the boy rushed from side to side and screamed like an angry chimpanzee. But Mike didn't take him back to the border, he brought him home instead.

He quietly brought the cage into his house, opened it, and walked away. He told the boy that he looked so much like his son. A tear ran down his cheek and again told him not to be afraid of him. He also said that he would teach him everything and take him to doctors so that no one would lock him in a madhouse.

At that moment, the grin suddenly disappeared. The boy straightened up and looked at Mike differently. He said, "Thanks"

Mike was so surprised that he could speak.

The boy said that his mom came up with a plan - to pass him off as "Mowgli". She hoped the American border guards would pick him up, and so it had happened.

Mike became irritated and said, "So you tricked me?"

The boy came to him and cried. He politely said that his father and two sisters were missing. Their city was drowning in poverty and crime. His mom and he tried to cross the border legally, but they didn't let them. He requested Mike to understand him because he just wanted to live.

Mike never broke the law in his life. But this time he realized that he had to save the boy.

It's been about a year since Mike adopted the boy "Paco", and they became a real family. The boy often came to his office.

One day, he came in and was shocked. Near the border, he saw a lady and said, "Mom, Mom!".

Paco wanted to run to his mother, but Mike grabbed his arm. He requested Mike to let him go to his mother. But he roughly ordered him that he had to stay there. Paco's eyes filled with tears and said to Mike that he didn't own him and he wanted to see his mom. But Mike locked the crying Paco in his office and left.

The boy screamed with all his might, but no one heard him. He continuously tried to open the door, and soon the door opened itself. His mom and Mike were standing in front of him. Both blood relatives cried with happiness.

Mike took them to his home and explained that if his colleagues find out she was his mother, they both would be detained immediately. Paco came and hugged Mike. He said that he was sorry he doubted him.

When Paco's mom found out what happened, she fell to her knee and began to thank Mike. He said that Paco was his son and lived in his house. The lady asked him to permit her to come once in a while to see her son.

"Nonsense!", Mike said. "My son's home is your home! Welcome!"

Unexpectedly, Jack got a new family. After all, good always begets good!
