A fresh new start

Mimi was 10 months pregnant and was seemed to give birth at any time. Her husband Nick was by her side so that they could go to the hospital when needed. Everything seemed to be perfect and ready.

And soon, she felt the labor pain and asked her husband to go to the hospital. He at once took her into the car and then started driving. It was so hard to tolerate the pain longer. But for an unknown reason, he was not driving fast. But soon it revealed itself.

Suddenly the car stopped at the midway. He told her to hold on and forbade her to push. Then he said that they were out of gas. She could not believe how a car can lose its gas by travelling only 2 miles. But he called the 911 and they came there immediately. Her condition was serious and she almost gave birth on the road.

But he didn't come to her to console or pacify her. And after the child birth, Nick's frugality spiraled out of control. One day the couple and their new born son went on shopping. Mimi was buying a pack of sanitary napkin. But he stopped her saying that they had a baby and could not afford pads. She was unable to make him understood how important it was and so stopped buying.

One day she was having bath. She applied shampoo on her hair and something unusual happened. She was having a lots of hair fall. She was shocked and then looked at the shampoo. It was the cheapest shampoo in the market and review was not good too. And applying this, she was almost went completely bald.

She asked him about the shampoo and he didn't care at all. Moreover, the next day, he forbade Mimi to bathe at all. She just completed bathe and got out of there. Then he said that she was wasting a lot of water and mentioned that a gallon a week is plenty. She was shocked and didn't know how a man can say like that.

However, 3 weeks later, he again showed his true face. Nick made Mimi to get a job. She was already busy all day long with the baby and family and so didn't have enough time for job. But he insisted her to apply and said that she would make enough to buy soap for herself and the baby.

The helpless mom was also insisted to find a job on field. She spent days going from store to store and cafe to cafe. She was not was tidy and attractive like before for her husband's continuous frugality. So, no one wanted to hire an untidy woman with a baby in her arms. She heard no from everyone.

One day she was about to go home. She was passing by an expensive shop and saw Nick there. To her utter surprises she saw, he was not alone. Two women were with him and were shopping with his credit cards. She saw him buying an expensive perfume to them and heard him saying that that 2000$ perfumes were for women worth a million. She also saw him kissing them and finally learned he scrimped at home so that he could buy gift for his lovers.

Mimi returned home before Nick and packed his stuffs. That same day she kicked him out and filed for divorce. He had no choice but to leave. And for the first time in a year Mimi took a bath without any restrictions. She was enjoying her life as she dreamed of. And soon she was looking so neat, clean and tidy woman.

She got soon and worked hard to support her son and herself. She became a leading authority in a cosmetics company with her knowledge, wisdom and hard works. Finally she was having a decent life and completely forgot about her ex husband. Her life was bound in her work and her son and she was happy with that.

A year later her boss Vince asked her to be his assistant. She was so happy with her promotion. They worked together and made many unique and quality products that helped to grow the company. And working beside him, Mimi didn't notice she had fallen in love. But she didn't tell it to him.

However, one night she returned home form work. She was playing with her son who was 5 years old then. That time his dad called Mimi for the first time after the divorce. He said to her that he was in the hospital and needed her help. He fell at work and hurt his legs. And his new wife didn't even buy him soap before she left. So, he requested Mimi to go and help him.

And accordingly, she went to Nick's place with everything he needed. She wanted to help him because he was the father of her child after all. With her continuous serving, it took 2 months to recover. Then he was discharged from the hospital. At the entry Mimi put her expensive car and seeing this Nick exclaimed that it was a nice and. He asked her where she had got it. And without waiting for her reply he again asked her if they would go out to eat.

Mimi did go out and saw Nick sitting at a corner table in an expensive restaurant. But she didn't approach to him because she was on a date with Vince. She and Vince sat at another table and shocked Nick came to her and asked what that meant and what was about him. She smiled at replied that she didn't know because she had begun her life anew, with a clean start.

Vince brought joy into her life every day. One day Mimi, Vince and her son went on a picnic. It was a beautiful weather there and the son was playing with ball. Vince was sitting by her and she was unpacking the boxes. And suddenly she found a ring in a box and heard Vince saying to her, "Will you marry me?"

In life we encounter all kinds of difficulties and problems. But it's important to never give up and just keep moving forward.
