In the article I will tell you atleast four things about Anime.

Is Anime a Another form of Cartoon?

Western People (not all Weetern People) think that Anime is a new form or another form of Cartoon, but Japan doesn't want Anime to be considered as a new form or another form of Cartoon!

Does Anime need to be Japanese to be called Anime?

Anime is loanword in Japanese word refer as some sort of Animation, even if you can make an cartoon similar style to Anime, it will be not going to considered as Anime.

When did the Anime starts?

The Imokawa Mukuzo Genkanban no Maki created in 1917 an was created by Ōten Shimokawa, it's a Anime Film.

When did Anime become popular?

Anime became mainstream in Japan in 1980's,they experience rise of popularity anime like Dragon Ball,Gundam,Macross,etc.

I think this part it's not clear enough, "but Japan doesn't want Anime to be considered as a new form or another form of Cartoon!" can you write about it more so the others can have a better view of it? thanks. :)
