He is now a successful colorful fish farmer while fishing as a hobby. Rezwan Ahmad Chowdhury said, I liked colorful fish very much.Since I was a child, I used to like to keep colorful fish at home. As the college was closed when Corona started, there was not much work to do. So to pass the time and with a bit of love, I took 1000 taka from my father and bought Guppy 15 pcs and Black Molly 15 pcs last year on June 7th. Then one day I saw those fish gave birth. It makes me very happy. After a few days, the fish would give birth. Thus slowly my fish started to grow. Seeing this, I started to dream of making colorful fish farms. In other words, I am addicted to colorful fish. Gradually this addiction made me interested in farming a colorful fish. Rezwan Ahmad Chowdhury also said.I wanted to do something where apart from earning money I got peace of mind. I found that colorful fish farming gives me both pleasure and money. And I don't find it difficult to do it along with studying. So try to start on a large scale. Aje younger brothers and sisters help me. Rezwan Ahmad Chowdhury said that the project has a setup of Tk 50-55,000. "Currently, my farm has Orenda Goldfish, Comet, Koicarp, Fighter, Mixed Guppy, Snake Screen Guppy, Black Molly, White Molly. , has Golden Molly, Golddust Molly and Fighter.There is a plan to invest more here. Rezwan Ahmad Chowdhury said about colorful fish food and care, colorful fish are usually fed with aquarium fish feed.
Besides, sometimes boiled potatoes, cucumbers, and carrots are fed. Diseases are very less if followed properly. And in case of disease, different medicines and treatments have to be given. Every month he earns 12-15 thousand taka from colorful fish. Younger brothers help in this work and family members always give encouragement. He is a second year student of Bachelor of Management in Jessore MM College. Sister Farzana Yasmin studied at the university.And the younger brother Farhad Uddin is a ninth grade student. Shihab said that in the beginning of 2018, he built an ornamental fish farm on a small scale in an abandoned land in the courtyard of his house. He spent 34,000 taka on various activities including buying foals and giving food. During the year, he sold fish worth about one lakh taka. This year the mother left the fish in the pond. Make a baby. Expand the business a little more. He said that he likes to see colorful fish in the aquarium shop. Curious and wants to know the price of fish. He brought 160 fish of different species.To raise this fish he has to make five more fry. In April 2018, six cubs were released. Most chubs are 10 feet long and 5 feet wide. Then the fish started to grow. One stage lays eggs. Larvae are produced from the eggs, which are sold in the market. Those who do aquarium business now buy these fish from him. Shihab said that at the beginning of this month he is cultivating these fish in another pond along with six fry. Where he left one and a half thousand mother fish and one and a half hundred male fish. They will grow in three to four months. Then hatch the egg with the chowbachcha. Then sell the molecules. He hopes to sell colorful fish worth several lakhs of rupees. Currently, the farm has 16 species of mother fish including gold fish, comet, kai curve, orenta gold, silky kai, molly, gapti, platy. A fish will produce about 3,000 larvae per year.This fish can be sold when it is 3 to 4 inches big. Shihab said, "In the beginning, the people of the area used to laugh at this cultivation. Everyone thought it was my whim. But did not give up. Now, apart from local people, fisheries officials are coming to see his fish. Many people come to see the farm and buy fish. Rabiul Islam, the senior upazila fisheries officer (Sadar) of Meherpur Sadar, transferred from Jhenaidah, said to Prothom Alo that its farming system is like other fish. Just have to give different food. However, Rabiul Islam warned about this fish market. He said, many people have less opportunity to take this fish farming initiative.
