The company we keep affects who we are because their characters rub off on us. There's an old saying that goes "show me your friend and I will tell you who you are" and this saying is very true because you can't have friends that you spend a lot of time with and not exhibit some of their characters. That is why choosing the right company matters. So my pastor, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche preached on this topic and I'll be sharing with you some of the things he preached about.
Who is your company?
The one that has the right Spiritual mentality as you
The one that has a similar passion and mission as you
The one that has similar character content and quality principles of living as you
The one that you agree on most things in life with
The one who is genuinely interested in your life
Be mindful of the following to ensure you have a solid destiny
Who you spend your time with: this is really important because a lot of people have wasted valuable time because they spent it with the wrong people
Who you give your ears to: it's not everyone you can take an advice from so that's why you need good friends to give you good advices when you need it
Who you take your steps after: this should be someone who you share the same dreams with and someone whose position is your destination
Who you Share your dreams and visions with: it is not everyone you can share your dreams with because it's not everyone that's happy that you've got a bright future; some 'friends' may try to bring you down making sure those dreams don't get actualized
Who you give you heart to: some people have given their hearts to the wrong people and they're seeing the repercussions so please be careful of this.
