PSL matches could be played in Peshawar

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government will attempt to hold a few matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Cricket Tournament 2021 in Peshawar, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said on Monday. 

As indicated by an announcement, the CM said the common work was in progress on the up-gradation of Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium Peshawar to create it up to the necessary norm. 

He was leading a gathering of the K-P Sports Department to audit the potential outcomes of holding a portion of the following PSL matches in Peshawar, the announcement said. 

The gathering likewise looked into the advancement so far made on the up-gradation activities of Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium for the conceivable holding of the PSL matches. 

The gathering was educated that the common work on the up-gradation of the arena and work on the arrangement of the necessary offices in the arena was in progress. Be that as it may, the pace of work has been influenced because of the predominant COVID circumstance; and a time of six to multi-month will be needed to finish all the important courses of action in the arena.
