The grgreatest philosopher Pythagoras; 582–496 BC [1] [2]) was an Ionian Greek philosopher, mathematician, and father of the Pythagoras fraternity, although religious in nature, who developed the principles that later influenced philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle. [3] He was born on the island of Samos, near the coast of present-day Turkey.

It is believed that in his childhood he traveled to different countries including Egypt in search of knowledge. & nbsp; moved to the Greek colony of Crotone in southern Italy around 530 BC, and established a spiritual and philosophical fraternal community there.

His followers followed his precepts and learned his philosophical theories. Pythagoras is forced to leave Croton. He is thought to have spent the last days of his life in Metapontum, another part of southern Italy. Pythagoras did not write anything and no details of him are known in the writings of any of his contemporaries. In addition, from the 1st century BC, he has been seen in a very unhistorical perspective. It was thought at the time that Pythagoras was a celestial being and that he had begun all the truths in Greek philosophy (even the many mature ideas of Plato and Aristotle).
