Master KG’s Jerusalem Becomes World’s Most Searched Song On Shazam

Shazam,an application used to identify songs, tv shows, movies and advertisement, on Tuesday, announced that the South African song by Master KG and Nomcebo has emerged the most searched songs by users from all over the world.

The upbeat afro song was released in 2019 and attracted lots of positive response from people. This prompted Master KG to release a remix of the song in 2020 featuring Burna Boy.

After the song was released on streaming services worldwide, a ‘JerusalemChallenge’ followed suit and had people from around the world making their own dance videos.

Jerusalem also made it onto the U.S Billboard charts this year.
