What Manchester City Has Reportedly Offered Lionel Messi In An Attempt To Lure Him To The Etihad

Lionel Messi looks set to smile all the way to the bank should a deal for him to join Manchester City materialize. The Argentine has apparently been offered a mega deal that will make him the highest paid individual in the history of football.

The Daily Record reports that Messi has already agreed to the financial terms with City that if given the green light would be worth €700 million (£623m/$834m) over five years.

He has also been offered an equity stake in City Football Group as part of the deal.

In the deal, Messi is expected to spend three years in Manchester before moving to MLS side New York City FC, a franchise of the City Football Group.

Messi is said to have chosen City over other clubs because of his desire to play in the Premier League and the belief that he has a chance to win more titles and honours under Pep Guardiola.

Messi believes that it is Pep who made him a better player and as such, he wants to work with him one more time.

Should he move to Manchester City or continue at Barca?
