EIB Network’s youth and music-heavy station Live91.9FM makes a full switch to a new digital offering LiveXtra, from September 4, 2020.

The new streaming platform available on android, web and soon on IOS, will seek to serve Ghana’s vibrant music culture via live radio, music, and podcasts among other offerings.

The new app will serve unique features such as mixes and specially curated playlists from DJs across the world, podcasts that cut across various interests while maintaining its signature vibrant urban radio culture with guest DJs and resident presenters.

Speaking on the new digital offering, EIB Network CEO, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi said “LiveXtra is something we’ve been working on for months now. The present and future is digital, and as Ghana’s foremost media network it’s only right that we again set the pace and standard with this new entity. We’re looking forward to working with artistes, and creators from all over the world. It’s also a new chapter in our business as we’ll be taking our clients on a digital journey that would put their products and services at the forefront of their youthful market. We’re excited to have you join us on this new journey.”

LiveXtra is currently available on all radio streaming platforms including TuneIn.

A successful radio brand, it has over the years appealed to Ghana and Africa’s millennial community.

LiveXtra is part of a diversified portfolio of a dozen products managed by EIB Network spread across radio, television, digital and print.

LiveXtra according to EIB Network, will deliver refreshing programming, while making use of studio spaces that excite and speak to modern radio aesthetics.

Adisi added that today’s ever-evolving media landscape necessitated the launch of LiveXtra, adding it is the end product of years of careful planning.

“This has potential written all over it. LiveXtra is the first, fully concentrated online radio offering by a media group in Ghana, and we are glad that we get to once again show the way.

“We’ve built this for a market we have had experience in for years. The successes of the past years will matter as we seek to tap into this modern potential. Our people will always remain our biggest assets and we have a dedicated team of talents ready to ensure we win.”
