Manchester United midfielder James Garner is set to decide on which Championship club to join by the end of the week.
The MEN understands Garner, 19, met with the Huddersfield coach Carlos Corberan prior to United Under-23s' 3-3 draw just over a week ago but Blackburn and Milwall are also interested. Newly-promoted Championship side Coventry also considered taking Garner on loan.
Fellow U23 players Ethan Laird, Dishon Bernard, Dylan Levitt, Max Taylor and Arnau Puigmal could leave on loan before the transfer window closes on October 5, but Teden Mengi and Ethan Galbraith are expected to stay.
Garner made his United debut in February 2019 and started three times last season - all of them in the Europa League group stage. Competition in the United midfield has intensified with the arrival of Donny van de Beek though Garner was always due to go out on loan for the upcoming season.
