I've Heard Many people say that Why we Brought the 3rd/4th Choice Defender of Man city. For those , I'd love to say that Eric Garçia isn't the 3rd/4th choice of Guardiola. Even Guardiola's First Priority was Him.
In the middle of 19/20 season , Guardiola Offer him Contract extension with more money. But , immediately He Refused that. Not For Barcelona , He wanted Some new experience & Adventure. In the late period of 19/20 season , Barcelona showed some Interest for Garçia.

About his Defensive Quality , I'd like to know you some Info.
I've been Following City's game since 2019. He is Such a player Who would like to Defend player with Brain , not much with Body. This is the biggest advantage about him , believe me Cules. We need such player who plays the Game with His Head.
His Tackle ratio is so good (0.8) & Block some through Balls effectively.
So If he comes , it will be Another blessing.
