I would like to start a Japanese learning article by the use of anime quotes. 頑張りましょう！

Today, here is the quote from the famous anime One Piece

Let's break down the words by Luffy!

俺 read as ORE; meaning I, me (usually use by boys)

は read as WA; connecting particle

海賊 read as KAIZOKU; meaning pirate

王 read as OU; meaning king

になる read as ni naru; meaning to become (grammar pattern)
