Have you ever heard the abbreviation “YGG”? Well, I think you have an idea about it but for the sake of those who don’t know let me tell you a bit about it.
YGG stands for yield Guild Games. It’s a decentralized gaming guild acquiring NFTs that bring about rewards from active players in the blockchain. Meet the humble co-founder and CEO of YGG-Philippines, and the co-founder of the altitude games in 2014, Mr. Gabby Dizon. According to him, he sees YGG as a way to bridge the wealth gap.
Dizon graduated from Ateneo De Manila University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in management information systems. He starts working as a programmer and a web developer and then became a gameplay consultant. He also became a professor at different educational institutions in the Philippines.
Gabby co-founded the Anino mobile Inc. - a mobile gaming studio located in the Philippines in 2005. He also served as the president of the Flipside games in the Philippines.
He joined Boomzap Entertainment, a small independent game development studio in Manila, in 2009. They produced their own intellectual property, and that's exactly what Dizon wanted to achieve, he says proudly.
At last, in 2014, he founded the Altitude game which is intended to create and develop free-to-play (F2E) games in metro manila. However, the company struggled to raise the capital due to the local investors’ lack of knowledge about the business model for making local intellectual property. Despite the struggles, Mr. Dizon never gave up and manage to uplift everything.
“*For the first time in my career, I felt like I was at the forefront of a trend by learning about smart contracts at the same time as almost everyone else in the world. You can be one of the world’s leading experts in a particular field and live in the Philippines,*” he said.
Then, here comes the creation of YGG, he said that the guilds own the entities in this games-referring to the NFTs inside the metaverse. Additionally, Dizon said that they provide manpower to promote and populate the metaverse accepting applicants all over the world with a promise to give equal opportunities to all. “*To me, it’s like populating a new nation like we populated America in the 1700s. We now populate a digital nation with people all over the world looking for a home,”* he added.

Mothers in different life situations: a tribute to all mothers out there
Yesterday, we celebrate the special day of our mothers, sisters, aunties, female teachers, grandmothers, Godmothers, and anyone who’s experienced becoming a mother. I honestly consider single dads to be part of this special day celebration. A special mention to all single mothers out there, I wanted to thank all of you for all of your hardships for our sake. Today, this article will tackle mothers in different life situations, and how far can they sacrifice for the sake of their children and family.
Normally we only have 2 categories of mothers in our society namely; a) biological mother and, b.) Adoptive mother. Now, I’m pretty sure most of us are aware of the definition and have the knowledge to differentiate the two so, I will not discuss them one by one with you. However, as we all know, there are still kinds of motherhood that we know which doesn’t belong to our society’s main categories.
***Full-time mom***
Full-time moms are those mothers that chose to focus on guiding and building up their families. She’s the one making all the household chores if the children are not yet old enough to help her. She spends most of her time guiding and raising their children molding them into respectful and loveable adults. She’s the one managing the expenses of the household and typically managed her husband’s income for the betterment of the family. To make it simpler, this is what we call traditional mothers.
***Income provider moms (OFW’s mothers)***
Unlike full-time moms who depend on their husband’s salaries or incomes, income provider moms are the ones who earn for the family. One best example of this type is our OFW who endure the pain of being away from their children for the sake of their future. They endure the pain of taking care of other people’s children than raising their own young. They endure every minute of loneliness and agony of being far away from their family holding one single hope, and that is to lift their lives from their poor statuses and provide for the needs of their loved ones. They even endure the pain of being maltreated by their employers’ because of that hope. Sadly, despite their sacrifices, some may experience rebellious acts from their children when they got home, the others may fly back to their homes and realized they were cheated on by their husbands. But even though there are many cases like this, many are still willing to try because that’s what a mother’s love can do.
***Single moms***
Before anything else, I salute all single moms out there, especially my girlfriend, I love you baby.
So, as we all know, single moms are those mothers that raised and mold their children all by themselves. I’m speechless concerning their sacrifices and how they ever did such a tempestuous responsibility. Raising children and providing all they need from emotional aspects down to material things with the help of your partner is difficult enough to complete, what more if you are to make this all alone, but they did it anyway, the reason? Well, the only reason is love after all they say that “a mother’s love is the greatest love of all”.
***Nuns***
Some may not consider this but I do so please don’t be mad lol!
Imagine raising and guiding orphans purely out of love. Although some may think that it is all just out of pity not love. I do respect the opinion of the others but as far as I know, they take care of the orphans not just out of pity but because they love them. Imagine a child without parents coming to an orphanage and meeting a nun who’s because of her passion has not able to have a child and because of the feeling of lacking in something she treated the child as her own just like what she did with the others. Would you consider that a pity? I guess not.
***Teachers***
“My child” that’s the line of our teachers when they are calling our attention outside the class. Whether you agree or not we spend most of our time with them than our parents. Just like the OFW, they work to support their family and had to take care of other children 8 hours a day except on weekends. Others can say that it was all because of their profession but can’t you see the fact if they have any choice why would some teachers choose to work in the most rural areas whereas they live in urbanized cities? Why would a teacher cross a dangerous river carrying books and other educational materials when they can easily ask to transfer them to a most convenient school? Why would they climb a steep and slippery mountain just to reach a school on top of it if they can ask to transfer them to a school near them? The answer is love.
***Single dads***
It may sound weird but I just want to acknowledge all single dads, I know the reason why right?
As the name suggests since they are single dads they use to do what the usual mother would do right? So, I concluded that we should also greet them when this special day comes.
That’s it for the classification of mothers I have, although I did not cover all of them because of their simplicity still the fact that they are all mothers then it’s enough reason to greet them a happy mother’s day. I hope for a better life, wealth, and future for all of us!

Hello everyone! today is Thursday and I think I have been staying here for quite some time without introducing myself so, I want you to know about me although I'm not quite sure if you're interested lol!
My name is kentt though not my real name but I usually used that name as my screen name or a pen name. I'm c currently studying Bachelor of Science in Accountancy- graduating student. I was a former news journal contributor and a member of the supreme student government, I was also appointed as a news journal editor back when I was a member of the school publication.
My favorite subject is science more specifically Biology which is a branch of the said subject. I love debates but I usually get irritated arguing with nonsense people. I'm also an artist, I specifically use paints, charcoal, colored pencils, and oil pastels to create visual arts-for aspiring artists out there, keep practicing because when people started to notice your talent you can make money out of it just like what I did.
So, why am I here? I'm always curious about cryptocurrency and how they work and of course, how to make money out of them so I've tried to learn as far as I could about this thing, I have tried trading, I played non-fungible token games, though I just played Free NFT games, and it was fun. honestly, I'm still playing NFT games now although I admit, playing free to play NFT games will consume your precious time and I will not deny that there are games that I can give a thumbs down but there are also some which are good enough not to waste a second of your lifespan. I have accumulated 6 free NFTs in one of the games I played and three NFTs in other games. I already sold three out of six NFTs I have in my first free-to-play NFT game, it was a happy result for me, and I was able to sell those at a low price tho.

After that, I started writing poems and stories but it was all meant for practice, and know that there are platforms like this, I can finally share my thoughts through written words and inspire others by just reading my articles. Lina: A child beggar who has a simple wish
It was 5 pm**,** I was on my way home when I suddenly met this poor girl. The child wears innocent eyes as if she doesn’t know anything about this world. I couldn’t even consider her clothing as a feather duster. I felt so pity when I look at her but what broke my heart is the fact that she still wear a beautiful smile on her face, probably wanting to conceal her struggles that day.
A few seconds later, she asked me if I am willing to buy Sampaguita’s- flowers formed as a necklace to put on the altar. “I haven’t yet sold at least one so, could you please buy one sir?” she uttered. I smiled back and bought everything she sells. Her smile was enough for me as compensation tho. Then, as she wears her smile, she runs at full speed toward the nearby canteen and bought something. At first, I was thinking about, maybe it was for her family and I’m happy that I was able to help her that way.
The next day, I saw her again but she was not selling anything. She’s pushing a wooden cart full of Manila paper on it. The materials contain words, phrases, and sentences intended for teaching kids like her. I thought she was only helping some volunteers but to my surprise, she owns the cart and she uses the money I gave her to buy Manila paper and marker and write down all the words and phrases she knows to teach her friends how to read and write. I helped her and invited all the kids for a meal after their tutorial sessions. The kids gracefully accept my offer and enjoyed the food.
After the meal, I asked her for a moment and humbly asked why she so eagerly wanted to teach those children? I know it was a foolish question for someone who doesn’t know the feeling of a beggar. So, I was hoping for a childish answer because I hope it wasn’t too late to help someone with a brighter future. “*My mom died when I was 3 years old, father tried his best to raise me and provide everything I need but then when I was 10 he passed away. I don’t have any choice but to live on my own.”* My heart was crumbled into pieces hearing how horrible her situation was, then I requested to continue her story if it was okay with her.
One moment after, while she was barely grasping her breath trying to hold her cry, she nodded and said okay. I told her to let her tears flow because there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Just because you cry doesn’t necessarily mean you’re weak rather it was a sign that you’re strong, strong enough to let go of your sadness, and brave enough to face the reality. It may be true that I don’t know the feeling of being you but deep inside my heart, I know that I have found one of my purpose in life, and that is to help and guide you.
Lina told me and said, “*When my father died, my relatives tried to adopt me, at first they were as good as angels but a few months after, they started to show their true colors, that’s why I left and decided to be here. Here, I have friends and we share a bond that only we can understand, I have found my true family here though not truly related by blood, we still are family.*
*During my entire stay here, I realized that despite our status, I’m still lucky to attend school for a while and learn how to read and write, upon realizing that, it was already my only dream, I want them to learn how to write and how to read. I want to see them writing their names and their stories. I love to hear their poems and I love to witness their smile because of the simple achievements they accomplished. I want to learn even more so that I can continue teaching them and I hope all of us get out from the claws of poverty.”* I ended up crying because of what she said, a 12-year-old girl with a dream of getting them all out of poverty using the knowledge that she wants to share with her colleagues. Lina’s dream is for her family though not related by blood but connected by faith.
