Do you walk fast, with your head bowed and your shoulders bent, do you drag your legs behind you, or do you walk with giant steps? Whatever you wear, you look clumsy - and you want them to look gentle, elegant, sexy. Your walk is an expression of your feelings, traumas and happiness, all that you have experienced. At the same time, it is an integral part of your character and uniqueness. Don’t even think you can’t change your walking. You can. It takes little effort. You only need to get rid of small mistakes or learn to walk properly.

You need to know that walking also reveals irregularities in the spine and feet: they are pointed out by incorrect posture and unbalanced walking. Some of the posture characteristics probably date back to childhood, but they undoubtedly prevent you from walking easily and elegantly. You need to figure out how to walk, then change the way you walk accordingly.

Jumping

Do you walk by raising your heels too early? This proves that the hind thigh and sword muscles are short. You will extend them with stretching exercises to straighten from head to toe. Ideal position for stretching: lie on the floor with your legs extended at an angle and leaning against a wall or bench.

You sway as you walk

With each step, your torso and pelvis sway from one side to the other, resulting in relaxed shoulders. The reason: the muscles at the bottom of the spine have shortened and are pulling them towards the hips. Stretching is also a solution to lengthen these muscles.

You behave like geese

Do you move your foot to the side when walking? You do this because of the twist of the knee, its outward facing. You need special exercises to straighten your knees, spine and lowered feet.

You drag yourself wearily

You look like you’re carrying all the weight of the world: you’re bent over and your head is bowed. The solution is in back and spine exercises.

"Sedentary" walking

Such walking is typical of people who have spinal problems and the pelvis is too forward. Try stretching exercises for the spine to prevent even more serious consequences, such as low back pain.

Practice every day!

Lie on the floor perfectly flat and breathe deeply. Repeat this exercise for 15 minutes every day - your posture and posture will improve. If you suffer from severe posture and gait abnormalities, consult a professional. Misconduct would make your condition worse. But first, eliminate muscle tension.

Your shoes betray you

Take a good look at your shoes. First, make sure your heels are straight. If the left heel is more destroyed than the right or vice versa, one foot does not have proper support, the ankle is not free - it is probably a problem with the hips and pelvis. If the heel is more worn on the inside or outside, this proves that you are not leaning with the whole foot on the ground. Once the shoe analysis is complete and defects are detected, walking improvement can begin.

Look in the mirror and correct mistakes.

Straighten your shoulders: The correct posture does not mean that your shoulders should be pushed back unnaturally. Just keep them straight, in line with your whole body.

Tighten your abdomen: no iron muscles are needed for this. It is sufficient that the abdomen retains elasticity and the natural ability to move in accordance with the diaphragm during respiration.

Keep your head upright: the position of the head is extremely important, as it reveals the character - a shy and insecure person, for example, has his head bowed. In addition, the position of the head determines the position of the entire spine. Also find out (if necessary at the dentist) if your teeth are straight and if your upper and lower jaw are in proper contact. Proper head posture can be practiced - by walking around the house with a book on your head.

When walking, align your legs and arms: the feet should only be slightly turned outwards, the arms should move in the rhythm of the steps - with the left hand we go forward when we step forward with the right foot, and vice versa.
