Hello friends, How are you ??
I hope you are All fine.
Today I discusse about Bitcoin and Digital Currency-part 3.
Bitcoin may not be so popular today, it may be limited to a few small online communities, and they may still be engaged in anonymous monopoly games with hundreds of bitcoins.
A thing called Deep or Dark Web has played a big role in the rise of Bitcoin. There is a huge part of the internet that you will never find on Google. If you have a dot com domain name on a public website, its registration information can be found on the site of an organization called Icon, along with the name and address of the domain owner. The Deep Web does not lend itself to this. Their sites are not registered, but can reveal their identities if desired. You can also turn your computer into a server if you want, then your site can be viewed in a browser with an IP address, there is no need for a dot com national name. It is also possible to understand the location of your server with the IP address. Deep web is made with many such sites.
Some of them are busy trying to hide their names again. The Dark Web separates them. It takes a special web browser called Tor to view them. These browser encryptions and special routing algorithms help to identify the site you are visiting and the site owner. Silk Road was an e-commerce site like Dark Web's eBay. Its founder, Robert Ulbricht, was a follower of the Libertarian ideology, meaning that he did not like the government or the big companies to blow their noses into the day-to-day activities of the common people. The main reason for launching this anonymous service was the ideal of establishing individual freedom from any malpractice.
But within a short time of the launch of the Silk Road, the criminal community realized that it was possible to use it. They started selling illegal drugs, firearms, pornography on Silk Road. And those who bought these from them, they paid the price through Bitcoin, because if you use a credit card, the name-identity is leaked! Seeing the success of Silk Road, other dark sites started using Bitcoin in the same way. There are no objects or jobs that have not been paid for with Bitcoin - stolen credit card information, hackers' emails, fake credentials, even professional assassins and hackers have 'sold' their services on these sites! Terrorist groups like ISIS and sovereign states like North Korea have also used these sites and bitcoins to raise funds and sell weapons. Even Julian Assange has paid Bitcoin to those who are interested in sending anonymous information to WikiLeaks. In 2013, at the request of Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer, the FBI launched an investigation into Silkroad, arrested Ulbricht, and shut him down. Silkroad has already directly participated in the transaction of about 10 million bitcoins.
Not only did he get a price on Bitcoin, he also needed to convert it into another real currency. As a result, the Bitcoin exchange flourished like a foreign exchange trading business. In the beginning, the people associated with the criminal world bought Bitcoin and increased its price, motivating the common people to buy Bitcoin by spending dollars and Euros. That is their advantage, because they can empty their 'imaginary' currency reserves and get real currency like dollar-euro. Most of these exchanges have been collecting fees arbitrarily for a long time due to lack of government regulations. When the FBI finally looked at them, many were jailed on money laundering charges. But by then Bitcoin had come from the alleys of the Internet and into the mainstream. Various businesses, shops, coffee shops, they have started accepting bitcoin as a means of paying prices.
